That show has made me realise there's a move that I've missed in street fighter. Can someone tell me the button list for the 'Hyuken' move? Thanks.

Also I accidentally played the first Metal Gear Solid game on a PS1 rather than PS2 and seem to have missed out the important bit about going all the way back to the beginning when you hit the halfway point.

    Holy. Crap.

So much fail in so few minutes of broadcasting.

The thing is, we all KNOW how terrible their research and facts are because we know videogames. What about stuff we don't know about though? I can only assume that EVERYTHING the BBC do is just as incorrect. What other conclusion can I draw?

Should one of us update Wikipedia with all this new found information gleaned from the radio 1 broadcast?

It sounds like this stuff needs its own wiki.

I couldn't even get past the first few minutes. Even if they actually knew what they were talking about, would it matter? I have no idea who those people are but they have to rank among the most annoying people on the planet.

Manic Miner's my favourite. If you took a long time you ran out of air and also if you jumped too high you died. It also had another game called Jet Set Radio or something which was like it.

I think you're thinking of "Maniac miner in the jet set mansion" and it was a point and click adventure by Sierra.

Who can forget Ico, such a beautiful game! The way you had to make your way through that mansion full of zombies! That bit where Otocon pisses himself! Riding on Epona across Hyrule Fields... man, it had it all.

Shadow of the Colossus was rubbish though - I just couldn't get on with the active reload and time rewinding mechanics.

We laugh, but I personally heard a teenager (who probably listens to Radio 1) say that Xbox had been around longer than Nintendo to his mate.. And that he still has his 'retro' Xbox.

                    Eeek.

I remember when Tetris was an 18. My mum still let me buy it, though.

I assume he was only refering to the 360 being released before Nintendo's Wii, and he jovially names it his 'retro' Xbox because he uses it to run emulators of all his fondly remembered consoles of yesteryear, such as Neo Geo and PC Engine.
