It's going to work out 80p cheaper than Ridge Racer was in 1994 for everything.

80p cheaper than 1994 Ridge Racer lol
That could be the poster campaign right there. With that 80p I've saved in 1994 i could have got two packets of McCoys now i can only get one

I was sure this thread had been in use post launch.... odd, maybe it was the main vita discussion thread.

Anyhoo, I notice the Gold Pass goes up on the new Vita store today/tomorrow for ?5.49 but does this come free with the Digital purchase of Ridge like it does with the boxed copies? Just wondering whether to use the ?8-off-Ridge voucher that supposedly comes with Touch My Katamari, when i buy it tomorrow.

The gold pass is not included with the retail game. You only get some of the DLC with the game, you have to buy the rest.

                new-copies-of-playstation-vita-ridge-racer-come-with-gold-pass

It does mention actually in that article, I must have missed it first time, that Digital copies come with it too but that it runs out on the 31st March. I assume they mean after that date, you won't get the Gold Pass.

So if all of that is correct, then Ridge+Gold Pass download for ?8, is yet another Vita purchase tomorrow.

3 out of 10 from Eurogamer. Very strange review that doesnt really mention the gameplay but slates the online team based set up. I just had a quick blast on it and even though the GFX pale next to Wipeout, the gameplay is great. Really competetive AI which I havent seen in a while. I had to battle to get to first place and was overtaken a few times before boosting to a win. Looking forward to getting online with this

That review is a joke to be honest. RR is a Sony launch staple and this is great fun especially in online mode.

6 courses for ?15 is enough for me for a brand new launch title. They are all good courses and don't forget that mirror makes 12.

There are some poor structure choices evident but I don't think EG gave it the time of day. At least 7/10 from me because of the strength of the core racing.

I don't see how it can be considered a 7 when it pales in comparison to the PSP version that was out 7 years ago.

It is kind of hilarious that the PSP version is Vita compatible and on the PSN store for ?8.

It's good. 30fps isn't brilliant. WipEout is also 30fps but somehow looks smoother.
