COD is definatley supported as GiantBomb has a video of them playing the game on the gamepad, although its not the sort of game you would want to play oon such a small screen.

    Not to sure about Tekken.

You can even play with the wii mote using the sensor bar on the gamepad on cod, there really is no excuse for nintendo to not update it to play wii games in the fututre.

I have also heard that the gamepad is capable of 3d with glasses on A creed 3 ? is there any truth in that.

Im quite tempted to sell my 360 version of COD and go for the Wii U version as it has better features.

Eurogamers posted a small article on this.

It is just anaglyph 3d, so nothing really special imo.

A piece of paper supports anaglyph 3d lol.

GameTrailers have a nice video feature talking about some of the ports and whether they're worth getting. No CoD in there but lots of others and the nice thing is they claim Ninja Gaiden 3 has been much improved! I actually enjoyed it on PS3 but I'm looking forward to playing it again now!

What's the crack with the Pro Controller? I thought it was exclusive to the ZombiU Premium Pack for now but most sites have it for preorder and shops have dummy boxes for it with everyone listing it for launch day

The Pro Controller was always due to be sold separately. I don't know why it's in the ZombiU bundle when thats played with the GamePad and hasnt got MP.

It does have MP - zombie king mode, one person uses the gamepad to place zombies and the other uses the CCP to control a survivor.

Its in the ZombiU bundle because the local MP uses Gamepad + Pro Controller (or Wii Remote)

I've been listening to the Bombcast with them trying to explain to Vinnie all the different Nintendo accounts, shops and codes and points and stuff. Funny stuff.

Went to a special Nintendo event last night run by community manager Jonathan (thoroughly nice chap), where I got a decent couple of hours play on Nintendoland with my gf and a few other randoms.

I have to say I really like the Gamepad. I was prepared for it to be underwhelming after all the talk of unresponsiveness and low resolution, but it's actually pretty good. As a controller it's comfortable, and the sticks and buttons feel like they're excellent quality - although I was a bit surprised that the 'gate' around the analog stick was circular, rather than the hexagonal type Nintendo normally include. Yeah, the screen's resistive - but I was ready for it, and honestly it's not bad at all. I found it responsive to touch by fingers, except for instances (like Yoshi's Fruit Cart) which clearly demand the use of a stylus. It's not massively high resolution either, but again I found it perfectly adequate and for me it wasn't a disappointment. Nintendo don't do bleeding edge tech. That's just not their game any more. Anyone expecting them to - give it up! This system is not for Xbox 720 and PS4 ports, it's for Nintendo games. At least that's what I'll be playing on it. I'll play PS4 games on the PS4.

The Wii U really is quite big! Quite a lot bigger than the original Wii, but still pretty discreet. All the systems there were the black Pro version, but honestly I think the glossy black is a bit dodgy. I'm pretty sure I'd prefer a white one, shame you can only get it with a poxy 8GB of storage (a storage-based tightfistedness only exceeded by Sony with the Vita, I think).

There was zero lag that I could see between the Gamepad and the TV. This was obviously an absolute locked-down concrete ESSENTIAL, and it's great that Nintendo realized that and made it a priority.

In terms of Nintendoland, I thought the games were pretty fun. They're not going to set the world alight, but 4 and 5 player Mario Chase and the Animal Crossing one where you collect sweets were really really fun, I could imagine them being brilliant with my mates. It's not a system seller for me though. Great to FINALLY see Nintendo stuff drawn in HD! (yes yes I know all of you with GeForce X99000 XL SLI mega GPUs and 14 gigs of RAM are able to do this already with Dolphin, but the sprite/hud elements still look wack)

Afterwards we were interviewed briefly on camera for a new Nintendo site where they'll be encouraging users to upload their own videos of them playing and saying what they think about the new system. So I may be starring in a Ninty official promo video soon lol.

I also exited to the homescreen and started drilling down into the settings (just out of curiosity), but got told off by a member of staff in attendance lol!
