The latest US price drop seems to have done the trick for XBO and sales have risen sharply. MS still insists on giving figures that represent units sold to retailers rather than actual sold units total but is touting the 10m units figure regardless. Assuming there's a fair chunk of Xmas stock in that figure as well I'd wager a guess that XBO is hovering around the same final sales figure that WiiU sits at only having done it in half the time.
Cracking figures but if I'm not mistaken, compared to Sony's recent figures... the gap might have widened in the last few months rather than narrowed? Likely due to Sony's international dominance.

Retail sales for Advanced Warfare in the US were down 27% from Ghosts. Considering the better response the game has had too, it seems CoD's slide in popularity is hitting an irreversible curve.
