Not related to MS but I keep getting passwords reset attempts on my Steam account. Just received something like the fourth one since the middle of December.
Someone's definitely trying to force their way into my account and must have got the details from their recent hack. It's a pretty grim feeling.
If 2011 was the year that online hacking blew up,I predict 2012 is going to be the year where it just keeps exploding.

What's interesting about that NeoGAF guy who says he was kicked out of his account for having the initial as his name is this on twitter
@Stepto Could you explain this policy? neogaf.com/forum/showpost…
Stephen Toulouse in reply to @CaptainKrake
@CaptainKrake no such policy exists. If it did, my account would be in violation.
So either the NeoGAF guy or Stepto is lying. Or someone is customer support is not a very nice person.
Oh and the woman who has hacked and made a fuss isn't letting it go (good for her). She's set up a site to collate peoples stories and is asking for people to email their stories.

Done with it. Does anyone know of any gaming forum that isn't ****e? Might see you there one day.
Besides, aren't we all just following this guide on how to debate online?

I want to see proper video game journalism. I am very tired of the gaming press being no more than PR agents.
There are 4 people so blindly defending MS in this thread; 2 are "Writers", one is employed by MS, and the other is Boris. That tells me plenty
All everyone else wants is AN EXPLANATION and for the STEALING TO STOP. And according to some of you, those things are too much to ask.Last edited by Matt; 08-01-2012, 12:58.

Holy crap, I also drew the same conclusion as Matt about how the defenders are all writers for a journalistic website, and was going to make a joke about it, but couldn't be arsed to type it out.
Phew - dodged a ban bullet there, methinks...
EDIT:
oh no, I've actually gone and done what I said I hadn't done, thereby not dodging anything at all!!! By Jimminy, I am bowing out of this thread. Good days to you all, kind sirs.

Can someone confirm this for me. I've changed my hotmail/windows live password via my laptop. When I login (auto login) on XboxLive it doesnt ask for the new password. I can login to Xbox.com with the new password. So my question is my hotmail/Live account all one account, and do changes to one affect all?
