The big review issue here with most of the big titles for the holiday season starting to appear:

The legend of zelda: Skyward Sword - 10

Uncharted 3 rakes Deception -9

Batman : Arkham City - 9

Dark Souls - 9

Rage - 7

Super mario land 3D - 8

Fora 4 - 8

Disgaea 4 - 8

Rachel and Clank: All 4 One - 6

Ace Combat : Assault Horizon - 8

Dance central 2 - 8

A high scoring issue.

Nothing on the remaining biggies for Xmas such as battlefield, mw3 halo etc yet.

I'd like to hear what they say elevates Zelda above the other big titles! Dark Souls is one of the most absorbing games I've played in years, if Zelda is supposed to be better then I'm going to be a happy man!!

From the appearance/play time I'd say they're roughly spot on for once.

Zelda review has got me so excited! All the things mentioned seem to be taking it in a new direction instead of more of the same and the motion plus controls are spoken highly of. I said to myself I was going to wait until christmas to get it as that's when I usually play Zelda games and the review even mentioned how it's here 6 weeks too early for that reason.

How come Skyrim isn't reviewed? I thought that and Zelda were out the same day?

Yeah I was thinking the same. Tore my copy open this morning and flicked through looking for Skyrim. Gutted as it'll be a week or so old when the next edition arrives.

Lovely to see Rage get some love too. I gave it a solid 8, which is an Edge 7. Hopefully will persuade a few more to give it a go next spring when the heavy hitters are done.

10 for Zelda. Wow. So we can assume that this one pushes the genre forward yes? I mean, it's not just Ganon trying to take over the world with a boy in a green suit, sword and shield (that he finds along the way) trying to stop him? ;-)

Honestly, that Zelda review was exhausting to read. It was just a load of pretentious cobblers imho.
It sounds like it was written by a 10 year old with a thesaurus.
There were some good things to be said about the game you could see that, but the way it was written was awful.

I have decided after 234 issues with not one missed I am going to cancel the magasine tomorrow, I was going to wait for the 250th issue when I would be 40, but the writing style just winds me up these days, I used to think it was a bit above everything else out there, but now it just tries to be clever for the sake of it.

I am sure Sniff Petrol could do a take on Edge, it would be hilarious.

I wonder if the Zelda review is any more exhausting than the skyrim preview, that was awful.
