I thought I hated this. Then I realised I had pumped 8 hours into a single session. Not as good as GTA IV but still miles better than most of the dross that's come out in the last couple of years.

It does nowt for me unfortunately, I can't see me wanting to play it, it's just so meh... Feel like I already played it on PS2. I thought sleeping dogs was/is the better game but I have never really got on with anything by Rockstar apart from Vice City (Spandau Ballet FTW )

It's a massively refined GTA SA, no real surprises but it is very good so far. Much better than 4 in every way, but it's still GTA.

I'll do a First Play in the morning if nobody else does, put in about 10 hours since it turned up 14 hours ago :/

GTA is one of the biggest games in the world, so hating is natural, let the haters hate, who cares. This will be a huge critical and commercial success anyway, what a bunch of whining nerds on the internet say hardly matters one way or the other.

And CoD gets plenty of hate on the internet too.

It's funny isn't it? I don't really like CoD, but I don't make it my business to turn up in CoD threads to tell people I hate it or find the game beneath me. I appreciate its appeal to others.

It just makes me a smidgence of saddenence for some peoplenence.

Agreed. Also, Sleeping Dogs is much better than GTAIV. Must get round to finishing it.

I liked both GTA IV and Sleeping Dogs, but I looked yesterday at how long I'd played GTA IV for after it was suggested people only play it for a short while. It was about 5 months solid!

However, my first achievement (score 180 at darts) reminded me how much of the extra activities are quite light in content and never really warrant multiple visits. Which one had the motocross in the big dome? That was pretty good.

I hope the activities in this are more than just a distraction. The golf sounds brilliant!

If you can't afford GTA V, treat yourself to Sleeping Dogs as it is a great game.
