They should add turbo boosts, drifting, and homing missiles.

If you want a much more realistic driving sim try www.iracing.com I loved it but just don't have the time it needs and other commitments mean I could only do a few races a week.
Is a great sim, but does make the wallet take a hit if you get in to it in a big way.

PS3 makes the most sense based on the series history and how long it would be in development since. A PS4 version wouldn't be worth picking up for most as it would likely look the same. You'd at best end up with a half bodged version where most the content sticks out against the PS3 models like the PS2 models in GT5. Better for 6 to be an expansion on the previojs work like 2 and 4 where and not risk tempering interest in a true next gen GT7. Plus it'd slaughter the point of having Drive Club at launch.

So its still the inconsistent game GT5 was. I'll pass in that case.
I'd rather have a completely overhauled sequel, with only premium cars. Don't care if its just over 200 of them. As long as the lineup is varied and with some recent cars. Same goes for the tracks, kill those Ps2 assets already, its embarrassing.
GT5 really was a sack of **** and they shouldn't base the sequel on it.Last edited by saturn-gamer; 15-05-2013, 14:58.

GT feels like a game I could really enjoy, if it would just become more of a game and less of a car porn extravaganza. 1200 cars, really? What is the need for that?
The actual 'carPG' concept is something I really like, but GT5 felt too unstructured for me. I wasn't sure what my goal was and never felt like I was really making much progress. I had hoped GT6 might be a better game (with all the stupid non-premium cars removed entirely) but nope. It sounds like more of the same sadly.
Having some cars rendered to a PS3 standard and some to a PS2 standard is really a bizarre idea that ends up making the game look kind of unfinished.

Probably because it's already been in development for 5+ years. Remaking it for totally different hardware, not to mention remodelling all of the cars (all 1200 lol) and tracks to take advantage of it would probably take another 3 years. And I mean it's Yamauchi. So that's optimistic.
They probably didn't intend for it to come out this late in the PS3's life in the first place.

My hopes for this are based off GT5's current state, at launch the game was hard work and rough in places but at this point I really enjoyed it. If, and I know with Yamauchi it's an if, they have retained the lessons GT6 could be a good title till the no doubt reworked and cut down next gen GT7

They had to work around the clock and release an assload of patches, one being an almost complete overhaul to make GT5 a decent game at best. And then again, the career was botched but gamers eventually let it slide. The meat was in special online events aka catch up races. Vanilla GT5 shouldn't have been allowed to make it into stores. It was absolutely terrible on a lot of accounts.
GT6 seems to be what GT5 actually had to be, but its 3 years later now.
They're also big about their sales, but the game had been rereleased 3 times. Especially Japan and US saw a huge decline. I wonder how any possible backlash will translate to the initial success of GT6.Last edited by saturn-gamer; 15-05-2013, 21:30.
