I liked the in car handling feel, when I switched to exterior it looked like a toy car bouncing around so not keen on that view. Pretty good overall though

englishbob, the full game is due out before the end of 2013.

Have you guys tried iRacing.com, really is an amazing sim and shows up any console racing game, takes a lot of time (and fair bit of money) though.

I'll let history speak for itself!

Agree about the lack of online leaderboards in GT5. Twas a crime.

Managed to play this a bit more today and improved all my times, they're still woeful though, just can't get on with the DFGT wheel and the forced feedback, even on one, you can't turn it off totally will give the wheel another try over the weekend.

englishbob, you're probably right, but they did seem confident of a 2013 release when announced and lived up to the demo date.
Sure they will want to hit the Xmas buying period even if poss.

Need to add some more of you to compare times too.

Handling model seems better than before, so that's good too. I just hope that the online mode is better than GT5 AND it actually has online leaderboards this time, otherwise it is going to be the same-old thing all over again in Single Player. Endless grinding, and the fact that the CPU AI is as staid as its always been.

The AI cars in the demo aren't racing at all, they are taking a trip to the shops. On every track in every car, I started last and was in first place on the first lap. But again as pointed out MANY times to me, this is a driving game, not a racing game? But I am still confused as to why they then put other cars on the track, is this a traffic simulator? On a race circuit like Suzuka?

For anyone with a steering wheel I'd imagine this is essential stuff. For the other 99.9 percent of eveyone else, I can't see anyone picking this up when its released in 2014, since the next-gen will already be out a few months by then.
Nice impressions. I'm looking forward to plaing the demo. Shame about the A.I, I so wish the A.I would have Ferrari F355 types of agression and different driving styles. If they can upgrade the A.I alone i'd be happy.

Yes, F355 on the DC is still has the best AI for racing, IMO. Whatever happened to Yu Suzuki? Come back the racing genre needs you!

You still playing this djtickle? I managed to gold all four of the sector parts today, just need to improve my whole lap time, never been a fan of Silverstone and that hasn't changed, very difficult track to drive quickly over a whole (long) lap.

The Goodwood Hill Climb course has just been announced for the game.

For people who aren't aware of the course.

There should be a GT6 video out in the next 24 hours too.

Such a shame it's only playable for those attending, and once the full game is out. Would make a great time trial addition to the demo.

Yeah, I think it's understandable that it's happening that way though.

It's a good thing to have at the Festival of Speed and I think if they start adding more tracks to what we have we're on the verge of it becoming a GT6 Prologue and I suppose costs have to be looked into.

We're not that far away from release anyway.

I know it's going to annoy some but I for one am really glad that they're going to be adding regular DLC to the game. 1200 cars and 71 tracks in 33 locations is fair enough I do expect Polyphony to be aiming for pretty much every track they can, can't wait to try Bathurst myself.

I hope some of the older tracks return too as I don't think any other company does imaginary tracks of anywhere near the same level you get in GT.

The original circuits from the first two GT games were immense.

Wow Goodwood, how awesome is that. Hopefully there will plenty of old British cars to rag up it!
