I think I put vanquish as my second favourite game last year... Though embarrassingly enough I can't remember what I put first so yeah perhapse it should have won it...... Doubt it did though.

Man 5 games between multiple formats is harsh, it's been a great year for gaming when I look back at the stuff I have played and enjoyed, to name drop a few.

Dead Space 2, Outland, Arkham City,GoW3, Gunstringer, Fruit Ninja Kinect, Rage, Mercury HG, To the Moon, Fable Coin Golf, MotorStorm: Apocalypse, inFamous 2, Battlefield 3, Shadows of the Damned, Bulletstorm.
I could go on and on, 2011 rocked.

Fantastic news! It's defo going on my list. So is Skyward Sword, so long as the second half of the game doesn't implode as spectacularly as Dark Souls did for me.

The only new game I bought this year, and thus my game of the year is:

Earth Defence Force: Insect Armageddon!

I became a dad in May, so gaming time is now down to about 13 minutes in between putting the baby to bed and tea being ready!

However, EDF:IA came out before all that and managed to have some great sessions on it. Had many co-op adventures with MonkeyJuggleDX, Katsujinken, Plough Boy, fuse, Briareos, VanPeebles and of course, prim&propersquad.

It was really nice to get to speak to you guys!

There were some serious Hollywood moments where VanPeebles would be running around trying to revive the other players while a giant Hector was demolishing buildings behind him, Katsu wiping out all his team mates to take out one ant and MonkeyJuggler just using the opportunity to tell of his latest sexploits...

There is only one game that I have been bothered about this year. Dark Souls. I waited patiently from the day it was announced until the day it arrived on my desk. I still spend hours and hours playing it. Only once I have the platinum trophy will my interest begin to wane, just as it did with Demon's Souls before it.

I shall also say Ridge Racer Vita and Uncharted: Golden Abyss purely because I can play them.
