Shenmue 3!

Shenmue 3 is unlikely to ever happen. But I wish they'd least release the bloody HD re-release - this actually exists and they're sitting on it. At least we can them play the original games in widescreen.

I thought that the HD release was just a rumour? Got a link confirming it is actually done?

I really wish nintendo would fund this, there is quite a big fanbase for shenmue and it would make lots of people buy the console as an exclusive game.

I have given up on the HD versions even coming and especially Shenmue 3. I was thinking today. Ryu Ga gotoku (Yakuza) is basically a sort of reimaging of Shenmue to a certain degree. I am really, really hoping the supposed HD versions would become available if they are finished.

I hoped Yakuza would be a sort of Shenmue substitute but it really wasn't. There isn't anything like the interaction with the world and the people that you had in Shenmue and the character you play as is of course completely different.

Where Shenmue 3 is concerned I just want an answer for closure.

Either no it's never going to happen so get over it and move on. Or yes we are doing it, it will be in the next 20 years or so but it is happening.

Why can't some multimillionaire come in and fund it for Sega knowing full well they're gonna make a loss? These rich people do it all the time with football teams!

Sony PlayStation 4 lead architect Mark Cerny and Shenmue creator Yu Suzuki have discussed strategy for Shenmue III at the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco. This was confirmed by GDC Events General Manager Meggan Scavio. Could this mean Shenmue III may finally get the green light on PS4?
