Just a weird thought but late 2010 one of my housemates bought an Xbox and played 2 games constantly (a cops and robbers Need for Speed and whichever Fifa was new then) I never played them beyond a couple of drunken "let me have a go" moments but from sitting around on my laptop while he played in the living room I started to really adore the soundtracks, so much so that I actually ended up googling the lyrics to and downloading about 15-20 songs from across the 2 games. I forget which game Two Door Cinema Club were in but they're one of my fave bands now and the Chiddy Bang/Plan B songs in Need for Speed are my go to Friday night drive home tracks now.
I think others have done this too because I was in a trendy bar in Sheffield called Bungalows and Bears about that time and they were playing "Yeasayer" and "Charlotte Gainsbourg" from Fifa within minutes of each other...
I was just wondering if any of you guys actually use certain games/franchises/publishers as your source of music discovery and if so who are the best?
