Still available from Amazon USA, Play-Asia.com, Funstock.co.uk and other stockists at current time of writing but can't imagine it staying that way for too long (Would they even take any orders for it at this point?).

    Collector's item?

I reckon it'll take a long time for its resale value to exceed its ridiculous RRP.

I suspect that you may well be proven right about that.

Kind of a shame. I never bought one mainly due to the price and was disappointed to hear some negativity regarding the screen and output but I loved the concept and it seemed like a wonderful way of packaging retro content. I would have liked it all to work out with a happier (cheaper) ending.

It just wasn't legit though. It felt like a dirty cash grab, what with using an a modified out-of-date version of FinalBurn Alpha to run the emulation, which didn't even work properly, and a goddamn 16:9 screen.

After the update I reckon it was worth the price just for Blazing star personally, that game is amazing to this day.

without that not worth the price.

I don't understand this, if they have an agreed licence, how can SNK revoke it overnight & not allow them to sell existing stock??

It does seem strange, and a bit of a shame I was hoping we might see another pack, but I'm keeping mine for blazing star, which I'm bound to still play again for sure.

makes me think they have broken the terms of that license in some way and pissed snk off.

Yep, I think it has to be something like this because CS is right - the contracts could not have been so fragile that SNK could revoke it on a whim.

Think it was misrepresentation with their inferior hardware and software?
