Mass Effect 3 fan files complaint over the game's ending

"After reading through the list of promises about the ending of the game they made in their advertising campaign and PR interviews, it was clear that the product we got did not live up to any of those claims," El_Spiko says. "This is not somethign [sic] I was happy to do, but after the terrible ending that was in no way the product that had been advertised to me and the lack of any kind of response from Bioware/EA to address this, I felt it was one of my only recourses."

He goes on to say: "I'll be returning my copy of the game before the end of my 30 day return policy if the ending still hasn't been addressed by then."

El_Spiko is asking likeminded gamers to join his crusade and file FTC and BBB complaints.

Lol this person actually expects the ending to be changed?

What a farce, what exactly were we promised from bioware in regards to the ending anyway? An attractive song and dance number? A parade featuring giant pink flying elephants?

It's things like this that make me think a population cull based on stupidity might not actually be that bad an idea...

This guy is clearly about 10 years old.

I remember the old spectrum days of playing through games that couldn't even be completed, ever. Or games that simply took you straight back to the title screen after completion. 20 mins of painstakingly made cg ending are a privilege not a given right.

Bioware should send him a special copy with no ending at all, see how the whinging little twot likes that, i bet the kid is a yank too.

Read about this yesterday and really did think it's the funniest and equally saddest thing I have ever read in my life.
I really hope they tell him to shove it up his arse if he tries to return the game, seriously.

I haven't played ME3, but I do think that developers lying about what their game includes shouldn't be a generally accepted business practice. If BioWare has indeed outright lied about the content of ME3, I don't see a reason why a customer couldn't make a complaint about the product he bought.

Surely this isn't going to go anywhere? I mean, the amount of rage I felt regarding the Mass Effect 3 ending has no words, but it's a little depressing that people feel that courses of action like this should be taken - makes the rest of us who are simply a little 'peeved' look bad.

This guy should not invest his time in completing Dark Souls.

Jeez, if people didn't have a sense of entitlement to everything available in this world already? (illegal downloads etc.) Now they expect games to have the exact ending they want or else they think they deserve something else?! What a plonk

Hasn't this forum been doing the same for years with review scores?

                        Subscription Cancelled! Etc.

To be sure, the ending to Mass Effect 3 isn't simply a bad ending. Without spoiling anything, it basically feel like it was developed in a vaccuum with no contact with the rest of the game, completely arbitrary in nature and seems to fly in the face of the rest of the game and everything you spent the last 3 games trying to do. The plotholes are absolutely huge too, with Bioware seemingly forgetting what they did 10 minutes previously, and it basically just feels like one of those jokey 'bad' alternate endings you get with some DVDs.

But yeah, this guy is an idiot.

What did bioware say the ending would be like then? I assume they said something somewhere?
