      Jesus Wept indeed!

If a new, more conclusive ending was added to premium DLC there might be a case in this, but after all the hoo ha that's been kicked up, I don't see it being anything but free.
      It isn't a law suit. He's not suing BioWare/EA.

Then why is this nonsense considered news worthy?

I got the Monkeys, the evolution, the return of the Monolith, the space travel, the AI failure/self-awareness... I just never got the huge fetus floating through space. I of course never took it for granted that he was a huge baby floating next to earth (imagine if that **** really went down?? And we wake up one morning to see one side of a huge fetus through the clouds!! That would be sick) Maybe more like the Earth and humankind is like a baby compared to what's out there, or something, but y'know, I wanted answers on the radio signal pointing to Jupiter - not a 'shrooms flashback.

See how I used 'humankind' though? I'm fair to the ladies, it doesn't even need a capital 'H', I don't think.

I could ask that of 99% of all the other nonsense considered news worthy these days.

Bioware just tweeted about what we'd like to see in the next Dragon Age. My favourite response:

Just don't kill off everyone in the entire universe

Ditto!!! I REALLY hope you haven't just ruined it for me either! But saying that... if that ending was true, then Bioware wouldn't be able to sell anymore ME3 DLC unless it was in The Walking Dead styleeee!!!!

To be fair, I'd be happy if Bioware killed off everyone in the DA2 universe (with perhaps the exception of Eve Myles' character whose name I sadly forget).

To be honest I think this guy should be more complaining about the bugs in the game rather than the damn ending. Bioware have never been known for their good after support of games.

Like "Press start" said he really shouldn't play Dark Soul, Baldur?s Gate 2 Throne of Bhaal or even Shining Force III which was a much better trilogy and your actions seemed to have more effect from scenario to scenario.

Hell Shining Force III has a

                            too be continued

                            ending with the true villain,

                            walking away "saying I win"

and I don't see a true sequel coming anytime soon for that.

It?s seriously clear they just set it up for Mass Effect 4 with the current ending as soon as EA got their hands on Bioware and this turned into a big success this was always going to happen.

From what I?ve seen story wise the actions of your character have very little effect on the next game bar a handful of crew surviving or die.

To be honest this seems very badly planned out from the start, as in order to do these type of game correctly you need to plan and design the story for the second and third games when you do the first, which is a big under taking and a slightly risky venture if the first game bombs, and this is ultimately part of the problem. It also doesn?t help if you never intend to make a sequel in the first place either.

Why does Shepard have to be a human, why do the choices in ME all lead to the same ending why can?t I side with Reapers and go bad?

If Bioware had been really smart your actions should have changed the start of each game, for instance say you?re given a choice to totally side with the reapers at the end of ME2. This causes you to either be helping them with the attack on Earth at the start of ME3 or better yet you get the choice to create a new character in ME3 and hunter down your previous character for the crimes they committed, true it would make the game shorter, but you?d have greater replay value and the plot twists would be far greater.

Sadly story design has been the real problem here and Bioware really need to get their act together and plan it correctly from the start to avoid plot holes or as I suspect shouldn?t cut larger parts of the game out to meet deadlines. Instead tell your publisher to take a running jump (might be a bit tricky if it's EA), that way you avoid a PR nightmare that could badly affect future sales of your games.

In the odd event anyone from Bioware does read this post I suggest looking at the original Fallout and Shining Force III, to look at good example of games were you actions and events can heavily change the story.

Out of interest, would people prefer a half length campaign with the option of it being good or bad or keep it like it is?

by the way, anyone here who already has seen the ending and know what we talk of? no spoilers please, but i would really like to hear that the ending is satisfactory and making perfect sense. i have no such hope though after seeing the Angry Joe review. all i hope is that playing through to the end is still worthwhile.
