Not coming this year. To be honest I think it will have slipped to PS4 but time will tell.

Beforehand when you subscribe you get access to things like auto-system updates, cloud saving, early beta access, discounts of selected items in the PSN Store and free avatars, themes and games. The recent refresh of the service is the addition of 10-12 free games per month in addition to what was already available. The games range in scope but this months are things like Virtua Fighter 5, Motorstorm Apocolypse, Warhammer Space Marine, LBP2 (dependent on store region)

How does it work for PSN+ discounted titles?

I've just read it, and there is a game of the month that changes every four weeks. The other games rotate on a 12-week basis. There are three titles, which are available forever providing you don't stop subscribing. Not quite as good as they make it sound, but TBH if you aren't fussed about playing cutting edge titles, you could pay ?50 a year and never buy another game again.Kept you waiting, huh?

People pay MS money each year for cross-game chat FFS!

I was a PSN+ subscriber I and I have to say the freebee stuff was cool ... problem is my PS3 never (and I do mena never) gets switched on these days, so there isn;t any real point in having it. However I can see the attraction for PS3 owners who get some use out of the old George Foreman.

Think of it as a long term rental. IMO it's a pretty good value long term rental. For me there are a bunch of game types that once I've finished them I'll never play again so if I get to play them as part of something else I'm subscribing for then that's a win.

This exactly. i have not bothered with PS+ as i did not think it was really worth while for me but now with these changes it really is a fantastic deal. I did not really look at it this way but im paying what ?50 or so a year for Xbox live and this offers me is Multi-player gaming (which in all honesty i dont really enjoy all that much) and the odd Gold early access tos ome demo's which of course is only for a week or 2 and that is all i get. I really do think this is very generous. Lol my only problem is the HD could fill up quite soon.

Hey, I wasn't trying to start an argument. Like evil though I've never really understood why folks say Live gold is worth paying for when PSN is free. Don't get me wrong; I think MS had the right idea and IMO Sony should have charged for PSN from day one. I think it was a mistake not to, and one that I'm sure they'd dearly like to fix but will find increasingly difficult. But, I've had a 360 (with Gold) and I have a PS3. The only feature I found missing on PSN was cross game chat (I didn't miss the feature actually, I just knew that the 360 had it).
