Can't stand games that have a searching framerate between 30 and 60, It's too jarring and takes you out of the experience.

If this becomes the trade off for this need to hit 1080p then I'll be buying a lot less games this gen.

I personally thought it's wasn't a problem in tomb raider, it hardly dropped at all, only on a few levels. I selected 30fps for killzone though as that was only 35-45 anyway. Besides, that didn't do anything to stop the game being a huge turd though. What a load of bab, my first and last kz game I feel.

I just leave it to the developer to make the right choice, I don't like tearing if it's cutting right across the screen, although I can tolerate it happening frequently near the top and bottom , but on the flipside I don't like Judder when they turn the vsync on and it's not locked at 30/60

I was going to get it for the PS4 but in the end stuck with the PC preorder I had because...

            Yeah, about that...

Despite several Sony blog outlets saying 1080p 60fps, Ubisoft have today confirmed :

            900p on PS4
            792p on Xbox One

            Both 30Fps

Funny that ... So what are we saying Sony lied? Surely not they never do that!!

                900p lol

PS4 owners up and down the land will be literally vomiting as they play it.

It does raise quite a serious question though as to how we have gone from what we saw a couple of years ago to even on the PS4 it being only 900p 30. Given the PS4 spec it should really be better than that, I would have expected the one to be 900p 30 myself and PS4 1080p 30.

Keep forgetting we are still on year one though ... Things will change as we move into the generation..

                      Not me.. I'm not playing that 900p 30fps ****e!

Wonder what pc specs will be needed to get 1080@60?

                        The recommended specs are
Windows Vista (SP2), Windows 7 (SP1) or Windows 8 (Please note that we only support 64 bit OSs.)
DirectX 11 card with at least 2GB of VRAM (NVidia GTX560 ti or AMD Radeon HD 7850)
Eight core CPU (Intel Core i7-3770 running at 3.5 GHz or AMD FX-8350 Eight-Core CPU running at 4 GHz)
                        8GB of RAM
25GB of available hard drive space

So presumably more than thatto hit 1080p/60

Yep! Might not even be possible to get to 1080@60 depending on how it's architected

8 core CPU .. Are you having a bubble Ubisoft ... Really 8 cores ffs ... If they said 4 recommended fair enough but 8 .. I know there are plenty of hyperthreaded 8 core CPUS these days but still ..

It does make you wonder how optimized this game really is, because it doesn't seem like it is at all at the moment,

we better shouldn't expect quality to increase the way it did with last gen 360 and PS3. at least not while 5 to 10-year old engines are being used with most devs. this new consoles may be x86-based but the core are very low power compared to PC CPUs clocking 3Ghz and upwards. looks like the idea of compensating this with additional cores doesn't work too good for this old game engines.

That 9 minute trailer kinda killed my hype a bit. Besides being a spider everything else seemed a little boring. Looks like an okay game but I still have to finish ACIV and Second Son so might pass on this till the inevitable complete edition.
