"I got all the money from my Dad"

    Yeah that's how crowdsourcing works.

I'm surprised they got the balls to release this. Yes it looks nice and all, I really want to get on board the Ouya train but it just doesnt look like they've pulled it off. Every Ouya headline seems to be negative coupled with the fact that no one is talking about THE GAMES. Even emu talk has quietened. I'm sure they're planning an Ouya 2 still but I wonder if they're actually making any money?

          Looks like black is the new . . . . . black. now 16gb

Anyone tried the new revised D-pad? What are you owners saying? Are you glad or having regrets regarding your purchase? Have you sold yours or upgraded the storage and raping roms/emus?

Ooooo I like the black. Ive only had a android device for a few months in the past so as much as Id like one I just don't know what I would really do with it. I don't need another emulation machine thats for sure.

Which emulators can the Ouya do?

Second question, is there a point in owning an Ouya, besides emulation?

Pretty much everything is available for emulation, up to the PSX anyway ... Yeah that is the issue with it really .. There are a few gems that you won't find anywhere else on it. But nothing that really starts out currently.

From what I can work out, you'd need to buy a decent usb hub because the fooker only has one port.

Browsing the web, watching hd movies, playing tunes and retro (and crappy android) gaming are the main uses for it. i like the fact retro usb adapters work with it so you could go for the authentic snes look n feel. I'm pretty sure the emus support proper pixel scaling and scanlines too.

The Ouya OS will be released on Android within six months. You can really sense the end...

For the 1st Gen Ouya I would agree it may well signify the end, however I think their idea is to get the brand more recognized and then hit with a newer updated more powerful version in the future. Either way they will get exposure, which is no bad thing.

Well as an emulator box to connect to a TV or monitor they succeeded, as a commercial games console it was a train wreck. Still good on them for trying and also for getting the thing out to thousands of backers! So in many ways a successful project.

Like when N-Gage games became playable on other Nokia handsets. That really saved the N-Gage brand!

Was there a brand to save?

Struggling micro-console manufacturer Ouya is courting various parties in the search for a buyer, according to a report…

Apparently the company is going up for sale

                                They should launch a kickstarter.
