Started up a game that I never really bothered with but can't remember why, Viewtiful Joe 2. Just getting to the end of Act 1 and it's starting to come back to me as most my VJ memories come from the Gamecube original. It's still gorgeous looking and I'm liking the Jurassic Park style first world. Controls well and is great fun so far.

I played a bit of Ace Combat Zero which was alright, quite pretty in places but just made me want to play the PS3 one

I just started Medal of Honor Vanguard which was fairly savaged in reviews but to be honest I'm not finding it to be that bad. It's not great by any means but its easy to play and I've had no great trouble with it.

Try and pick up MoH Rising Sun. A superb opening 20 minutes devolves into one of the worst games I've ever played. I've never seen a game take such a dramatic dive after the opening segment!

Well, still quietly working my way through my PS2 back catalogue and my current flight of fancy is the rather lovely...

Maximo vs the Army of Zin

Still really good to play and the chunky over animated looks have held up well. Has its niggle spots but I remember it being a little bit more punishing than it is, that said still some way to go. Cracking game though.

Maximo is a franchise I never really tried.

Quality game. Played the demo many moons ago. It's one of those I want to give a proper go.

Is it not on PSN yet?

                  Currently on Rise of Honor

Its a simple enough game but it works for the most part, I have some memories of this one from when it came out. The action button can be techy but its not awkward enough to cause problems. Biggest weak spot is the combat coming from flicking the right stick, buttons would have been much better.

Tried a little Beatdown but its pretty chronic. Got a small pile of stuff I want to dedicate more time to towards the end of this run but generally we're starting to get to the end

And this mornings title to try was Spy Hunter, I think I'd only tried a demo before. It was the one starring Dwayne Johnson, the setup was fine but the handling and ropey framerate ruined it.

Oh dear. I remember the hype for Spy Hunter. It clearly looked **** so I never understand why it was getting such a huge push.

Of the three produced on PS2 its just the hyped up first one I haven't really played. Take it its not much different? Unless 2 and the Dwayne one as ropey sequels I can't see the fuss

I'm currently slowly going through Onimusha 4: Dawn Of Dreams and so close to finishing DMC 3 (Japanese) on Normal mode on mission 15 . The Last Of Us got in the way though.

I just finished the career mode in Splashdown 2, very short and basic but loved the busy tracks. Nice playing a racer where an effort is made on the track

                                Onimusha 4 any good?

I like the Splashdown games a lot. The first is better but the second is bundles of fun. I ended up picking up US version of both for 60hz goodness.
