Been playing Limbo and Hotline Miami on my Vita and I've also been some saints row 4

After the disappointment of Batman I've called it a day with this generation of games. I'm not going to bother going through my back log and stick to Fifa 13 on the PS3 and The entire Gears Of War series again in Co-Op on the Xbox 360.

Last two games ill add for this generation are Fifa 14 (PS3) and GTA on either of the two consoles, not decided yet.

As in you're going retro or getting next gen?

It's a shame you didn't enjoy Arkham Asylum. I played it recently and really enjoyed it. I don't know how the combat would have worked if it was first-person, but if you disliked the third-person perspective, I can understand why you disliked the experience.

I have so many games on my "to play" list, it would be daft of me to give up on this gen.

I've been hammering Driver: San Francisco and I think it might be my favourite driving game ever.

I found myself hugely disappointed with Batman. Such simplistic combat, it bored me pretty fast which is a shame as I liked the style and setting.

Some Colors!3D, Flipnote Studio 3D and a bit of Muramasa before I left for work. I am amused to see that Colors! is also on Vita. Also got my gold watering can in ACNL so will be sending in the bulldozers to level the place before landscaping in a few weeks.

Was your main problem with Batman that it was 3rd person?
I haven't played it yet but find it odd you wanted it 1st person when the GoW series you're desperate to replay (and one of only 2 games this gen you will replay) is 3rd person also. Was Batman really done that badly comparatively?

Space Channel 5 Pt 2 on the Dreamcast Collection (360 version). I only ever played this on the Dreamcast, so I'm used to the Japanese dub, which, thankfully can still be accessed if you set your console language to Japanese. Shame it wasn't offered as an in-game option. Still an absolutely brilliant game

Going next generation with both the PS4 and the Xbox One.

I didn't like the simplicity of the game, it's just so easy. The combat is basic and very repetitive; the game became very mind numbing after an hour or so. It's a shame really.

The thing I liked about the combat was that you were rewarded for your creativity with combos and not for your ability to remember complex button sequences. Frustrating for the fighter specialist, perhaps.

You could win every combat battle by button bashing if you wanted.

                          Fair play.

Meanwhile, I'm still playing the Saboteur and still enjoying it but I can see that once the storyline finishes competing all the ambient freeplay events is going to be a fair chore.

Well it would be a dull world if we all liked the same thing. It's just a shame that you didn't enjoy it as much as I did.

I agree that the combat was fairly easy, but I think it was meant to be. If you couldn't take down 5 perps without breaking a sweat, you wouldn't feel like Batman. To me, the combat was all about taking down as many people as possible in as stylish a way as possible. I tried loads, but I couldn't get the achievement for using all the combos, but I had fun trying.

However, the combat was just a small part of the game. I enjoyed watching the mystery unfold, doing some detective work to find the Riddler's clues and zipping about the environments.

You know FIFA and GTA IV aren't first-person, right?

I've been throughly enjoying some Left 4 Dead 2 co-op. So good even if I can see several areas where they can really update the series for this rumoured sequel to bring it bang up to date.

I've been thinking about playing some more Left 4 Dead (1 and 2!) recently.

Is there still and active community playing co-op, nonny?
