Based on your OCD posts in the steelbook and mecha threads, I imagine the prospect to "catch 'em all" is quite an enticing one for you!

Either that or it's a slippery slope. I can well imagine you collecting every version of Pokemen on every format ever released, but not actually playing them.

Funny you should say about the collecting every version...my brother has always been into Pokemon ever since the beginning & has pretty much all the GB/DS games (most are cart only though) so I've always been around them, just never really bothered getting too involved before now.

Pok?mon is great. I was totally obsessed with the Red and Blue generation, then with the Gold and Silver gen. I never felt like the later titles topped those early games, but I'm hopeful that X and Y will be a tangible step forward for the series. The core gameplay is really cool.

Two of my mates are getting it too and we've arranged to all pick different starters so should be a good laugh.

I'm sure a Colosseum/Battle Revolution type title will appear at some point for Wii U, I sincerely look forward to battling my mates in HD.
