Why would you want to when the console actually has some interesting exclusives.

Just watched the Gametrailers review of this, which has 360 story mode gameplay and PS4 Multiplayer. Buggered if I could see any difference, its using the same graphics after all. Obviously running the two side-by-side you'd notice the resolution difference, but the rest, nah.

Found it quite amusing they where bored of the Single Player game, I haven't played one since the original MW! (COD4)

Look at IGN's review, it's 1080p and there's a MASSIVE difference IMO. I wasn't really bothered about this, but after seeing that review it made it look a lot more interesting to me.

I'm surprised a lot of reviews are saying the PS4 version has framerate dips in the campaign...

Anyone get the feeling this is just an un-optimised engine?

Well, it IS running at 1080p. I guess certain points in the campaign will make it inevitable - especially as the machine has a harder time when playing a single player game as everything is being rendered and handled by the system.

At least, that's what I felt playing the likes of Call of Duty 2 many years ago versus playing it online.

As for un-optimised, I think it's a little hard to optimise an engine for so many consoles. Have to keep in mind that this is going to be their first crack at it so it won't be perfect.

EDIT: My point being that they were probably more focused on the multiplayer.

              Cool impression from Maximillion_ here:

That interview was great. I really want to play the game, now.

The question about the console powers was... I could feel the tension.

There's no denying it's a big gap, especially if the game is rendered at proper 1080p on PS4 and not 1280x1080 or something like GT5(1.5 x 720p's pixel count), but now that I think about it, if I had an Xbone I wouldn't mind one bit if PS4 was running at 1080p as long as what I was playing was smooth.

I don't care about the resolution unless I saw them running side-by-side and that's what IW are getting at. Whenever I read those Digital Foundry comparisons for 360/PS3 games I'm only ever interested in graphical glitches, slowdown: things that affect the gameplay.

I think IW made the right decision in prioritising frame rate. This way, they're not the ones who'll take most of the flak for this, it will be MS. If rendering at 1080p on xb1 meant jerky gameplay then I reckon IW would get more flak for not optimising or dropping the resolution.

Of course, they're only one company. Ideally all companies would have the same idea but I'm worried about other multi-platform stuff if devs can't find a way for their different versions to meet in the middle.

Activision says retailers have spent $1bn on stock, I'd be amazed if this translates to sales though. Quietest CoD launch I've seen in store

Can anyone explain the upgrade from xbox to xbox one deal for me please?

No one on my friends list is playing it...that's a first. Obviously, they could be getting it on PS4/XBO though.

And from what I know of upgrading, I think on XBO you have to trade it in at game etc and they give you the next gen version for ?10 or something, and for PS4 you keep the disc and put it in and have to pay an extra ?10. Something like that.

ah thats a shame about the xbox version. i was hoping it was similar to the ps3 upgrade path and i could keep the 360 disk so i could play on both machines

                        thanks for replying

That is exactly what i saw in a few games at the beginning of the PS3's life, which is why i then went & got myself a 360 instead
