To be honest I don't think there's a massive difference in graphics between the 360/PS3 version to the X1/PS4 version. I think Battlefield 4 looks a lot better between versions.

That's probably because current gen COD looks much better than BF3 due to being a static world with very little going on (a necessity of the Quake style twitch gameplay)

I suspect the 360/ps3 versions could be pish,
The engine has been built for next gen platforms and they have had to "port down"

well, i've learned the exact opposite at gamecom. this "next gen engine" is supposedly just an evolution and i expect the next gen versions to be just a "port down" of the PC version, making them only slightly better looking than the current gen versions. however, the resolution of the Xbox One MP demo looked like upscaled 720p. to me.

That's really shoddy in my opinion. No game should be native 720p on next-gen consoles, it's such a ****ty resolution in this day and age.

Don't think I'll be getting this one anyway, there hasn't been a great COD since MW2 IMO and Infinity Ward are dire (If MW3 was anything to go by) now all the great talent buggered off to Respawn.

This is only rated 16 PEGI too. Obviously looking to enhance sales where parents don't have to accompany their surly teens to the shops.

Am I the only one who doesn't want a less linear game?

Every other game I play I want variety, multiple routes and less hand holding. But in COD I just want a cinematic, simple blast em up! The last one was ruined by those awful A.I levels and the annoying things you had to do to branch the story!

Though I had vowed never to buy another of these anyway...for the last 3 actually

Nothing wrong with being linear as long as it's good. CoD hasn't managed that.

I haven't played a cod since mw2. Should I? I didn't get on with bf3 as it seemed so scripted.

The newer cods were more of the same, the most recent ones dropped the respawning enemies, so you can just camp like a wimp and kill them til they are gone.

                              Respawning enemies = incapable designers.

I agree some what but if done correctly the game forces you to push forward which can give a real intensity to an otherwise normal section.
