Yeah but you love motion controls. Doesn't change the fact that the game is easier to play with a pad though. It's just the way the controls are designed, the pad is more user friendly.

It isn't a fact that it's easier to play with a pad. It's just your opinion. I don't love motion controls either. For some games they are better than twin analog imo though.

It basically boils down to a mini 'M/KB vs. control pad' debate. If you want to simply have fun with the game then you go with which ever input you personally prefer...

If you want to seriously tackle high scores competitively then the selection is a no brainer.

I just thought I'd mention that my S&P2 kit is due to be delivered today. I'm gonna have a little practice later before we start playing proper Dave.

Guys, I have a spare 120GB SSD disk in a caddy from an old laptop. If I were to get the "Basic" Wii U, and connect the SSD, will this be the same as a premium in terms of functionality? Or do I miss more?

That should work fine. The Wii U will ask you to format the SSD upon initial connection.

In relation to that, is the best option actually to buy an 8GB 'basic' machine, then spend the money you save on a mini external HDD? Most of the 2.5" ones run fine without external power.

That' exactly what I was thinking too. I mean 32GB is nothing on the premium, so I would need the external disk anyway. What I am worried about is that "OS" features will not be installable externally. So I end up with less functionality on the actual console. Be super if any guru's know more on that.

                    PS: Thanks J0e

According to Nintendo not all HDD's work, but I fail to see how that is true myself. Personally I am using my Buffalo DriveStation AV, which is endorsed by Nintendo on their website, and also happens to be the "official" PS3 External HDD...

How much are the 8GB basic systems now then?

?179 isn't it. You may as well get the HMV ?199 Premium Pack deal over here.

Unless you are planning on downloading all your games from the store, 8GB will probably be fine for a while anyway. If Nintendo give users the option to install games to HDD from disc however an external HDD would be necessary even with a 32GB model.

For example even with a 32GB model you still need an external HDD for the eShop version of Lego as its something like 25GB in size and the you get less than that on the 32GB model anyway.

Excellent. I'm on with BioShock Infinite for the time being, however that will give you enough time to get used to the controls.

I suggest you repeat Stage 0 until you get the system. It's basically a contained mini-stream of awesome.

Consider yourself capable with the controls once you've successfully cleared that laser section. It requires melee attacking the main bulks whilst shooting out the strays. Patting heads, rubbing tummies.

Just before the boss - Keeping the rocket dudes alive so that they fire rockets at you which you then hit back between pairs of robots for faster and more score worthy kills.
