It sounds like a bit of me. I like these games that require a thought process. I'm currently stripping down Punch-Out!! as you know. I've ordered a new nunchuk in the blue Wii U box (I'm such an capitalist idiot), and I'm sending Dave (not you) to his local CEX this evening armed with eight whole English pounds for S&P2.

The 360 launch wasn't much better either. Highlights were a botched Quake 4 port, a broken Perfect Dark sequel and a couple games like Condemed, which Microsoft pretended were exclusives by not releasing them on the PC until a few months later.

The wiggle stick and nofunchuck on Wii are the worst controllers ever invented IMHO.Originally posted by rmoxon View PostWhat the hell are you lot are on about? Why are you telling people to play Sin and Punishment 2 with the wii mote and nunchucks?
Its a fantastic game, but use the pro controller for god sake unless you want it ruined for you.
It's one of the very few Wii games which grants an input scheme as close to a mouse and keyboard as you can get. It was clearly built around the control scheme, as was S&P1.

I've never had problems with the pad. I think it plays great with it, feels very much like the first game.
I'd say its built for the pad rather than the arm ache inducing motion controls.
Motion controls will never improve any game for me as they are usualy too uncomfortable, and even when they aren't its stuff like Zelda where you might as well use a pad as it doesn't add much. After the horrible way of controling most Wii games, the best thing about the WiiU is that it has a proper joypad and that its not focused on breaking your arms.Last edited by rmoxon; 26-03-2013, 04:19.

I'm not a fan of motion controls in the slightest, but motion controls often work well with games that would otherwise be better played with a mouse rather than dual analogue sticks. The aiming on Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition springing to mind. While I would much rather use a mouse rather than a pointing device, it is true that motion control can be faster for aiming in the same way that a mouse can.
I am speaking generally, though. I've not played Sin & Punishment 2.

switch the cursor speed to fast and its as quick to aim with the controller as the wii mote. This on top of the fact that the controller has more buttons, making things like rolling much easier, means its the supirior method.Last edited by rmoxon; 27-03-2013, 05:23.
