Also as you have changed your IP address, i assume it would have forced you to enter a subnet mask?

More importantly did you enter ips for Default Gateway and DNS?

Example of what it should be like as I have virgin too - XXX being a number from 2-254 that nothing else on your network is using.

      IP Address 192.168.0.xxx

      Subnet Mask 255.255.255.0

      Default Gateway 192.168.0.1

      DNS 192.168.0.1

Okay, bored now. Surely.it.would.have been easier to press a load of discs with the update on it and distribute those to retailers with the consoles?

2 HOURS & 1 failed attempt and here I am about 25% done. So much for playing Mario tonight.

        Bollox.

Blimey 2 hours, glad i didn't hang around and done the update at lunch time. I imagine the servers will start getting hit hard over the next few hours. Strange its taking 2 hours for the update as i have just finished downloading the Fifa13 demo and it only took about an hour and its about 1.3GB in size.

Or even build the update file on all of the launch title game discs? Like update is automatically applied before the game boots.

Dreading try to get my Wii U online tomorrow now. The virgin superhub is mint for speed but the wireless is crap.

Wasn't NG3 on PS3 and Xbox a steaming pile of turd? Surely a few extra features won't be enough to polish it.

Use 5ghz mode if your devices support it, you won't get as much interference from everything else under the sun with that.

So it seems like this is another rip roaring success of a launch from Nintendo :\/

Tried the dmz thing but that didn't work either. Called virgin and they told me my settings are fine. Getting annoyed now.

Play Mario all you want. The machine updates in the background if you hit cancel.

Think you need a machine cable of connecting to the Internet for that to happen.

                          so I'm buggered.

What's the betting that when I ring Nintendo tomorrow they tell me it's virgins problem?

Now, gamers are moaning that we didn't include an Ethernet port on the WiiU to aid faster downloading. You know what gamers; F*** OFF!!"

Personally I thought it was alright, not as good as the others but alright - basically the WiiU version makes it a proper sequel to the other ones. It's pretty fun and certainly less lazy then Mario U.

Can't, theres no cancel button. Unless I'm missing something.
