If that clock speed is true for the processor it is a tad disappointing, however it is not going to affect how I view the console. Most people buy Nintendo consoles for unique and innovative games and not your mainstream stuff. That gamepad must cost a lot as that CPU must cost pennies to manufacture! (If true...) It is still going to be amazing to see what the next 3D Mario and Zelda games will be like which don't rely on grunt one iota.

Sure I read somewhere its CPU only has a third of the transistors of the 360 Xenon core so I wouldn't be surprised if that is what it has. (The 1.24ghz core) sure there is a rumour it's a dual core wii processor, might be al in my head that one like

Ahh shopto didn't send it Still processing .

Who cares what the specs are the games will look better than on 360. Ps3 in time , In a year or so ps4 720 may have the better graphics but will they have the design , innovation and as many classic franchises ?

Yes but if that is true the likes of Havok and advanced physics and AI may be quite problematic if it really is that slow

Updating right now. Very unsure of what games to pick up tomorrow. Had initially decided to just stick with two (NintendoLand + ZombiU), but Mario and Blops 2 are looking tons of fun. Not to mention Sonic Racing, Transformers Prime and Funky Barn (no really).

Ok so how do I do this dmz time thing then? Because I really want to update my console.

Basically you can set IPs on your router into DMZ. This way the machines running on the specific IP address will be exposed to the interweb. The advantage for doing this for consoles is that you won't need to forward port to them. In the past I used to advise people to give their consoles the same fix IP address and enter this IP address into the DMZ under their routers settings. But nowadays consoles are more then just gaming consoles, with their accounts systems, I'm not sure if it is still a good idea, however i don't want to panic people. Alternatively you can monitor your router and see if ports and connections are being blocked, when the Wii U tries to download something, and then white-list them or forward the port(s) to your Wii u. Basically give your console a fix IP and enter that IP address on your router under the DMZ menu

Sounds a bit complicated. How have other people managed to download the update without doing this? Surely there is another way?

For anyone needing DMZ help. Use this guide. It's for PS3 but the same still applies.

Does you router and the wii u support upnp? If yes, try to switch it on and see if that works.

Tried manually entering an IP within the range of your LAN? Have heard people have had success that way. For some reason it went buttery smooth for me. Maybe because my router is less than 10 centimetres away from the console.
