got the phonecall from my local game zombi u pack is go, weirdly im both excited and aprenhensive all at the same time.

Well finally making progress, had to take the Wii U downstairs and literally plonk it next to the wireless hub and hurrah, im now connected and able to download the update. I do seriously hope this is just a software problem rather than a hardware one for the Wifi and hopefully the update sorts this out. Anyone else having the same problems?

Just got a text (!) from Game. My Wii-U has landed.

Also had Tank! and Sonic pop through the post. At this early stage, I am impressed with both the fetching shade of turquoise used for the boxes and by the remarkable roundness of the edges of the game disc. Some next level sh*t, right there.

Seriously though, quite excited now.

You do have to wonder just how stuipid or just plain lazy people are to actually search online for a Wii U. Seriously why would anyone pay ?400 for the same console that Shopto are still guaranteeing for tomorrow, crazy.

Yeah thats what i couldnt believe, madness. I could understand if the Wii U was in the same situation as the Wii i.e limited stock and massive demand but Wii u is pretty easy to get hold of.

for anyone downloading the update, remember to put the wiiU into DMZ, will really help speed!!

The demilitarised zone - basically it sits what ever is in the DMZ outside of the router firewall, free from any incoming/outgoing port and protocol restrictions (putting stuff in DMZ should be a last resort).

Just say that tomorrow morning I woke up and simply HAD to have a WiiU. What's my best option? I'm thinking Asda (opens at 7am and is 2 minutes away in the car). I also have HMV, Game and a Morrisons reasonably close.

yay update all done and the wifi problem seems to be sorted as im now able to use in bedroom. Am posting this from the Wii U, this browser is actually really good.

Got an email from Amazon at 5:48 am saying it had dispatched, but according to HDNL they're still waiting for it... It's meant to arrive by tomorrow though. Looks like the games I ordered won't ship 'til tomorrow at the earliest though, not very good.
