Bang tidy!!

Black Ops 2 and Sonic Racing in today. Didn't think BlOps2 would be ?55 - currently scanning at ?45. Much better.

I don't agree with that ..

There is no real reason for developers to back the WiiU over any current gen machines, unless they have a game that either uses the gamepad to maximum effect or have a game that requires that extra grunt the WiiU provides, assuming it has the extra grunt in the first place.

Nintendo need to do what M$ did at the 360 launch, get down and dirty and get some exclusive deals going on. Bayonetta 2 is a good start, but they need to do more ... A lot more, given that a next gen machnie could be out in 12 months.

I think the fact that Zombi U is a launch title (and a pack in one at that) and Bayonetta 2 (a game which screams hardcore) is an exclusive shows Nintendo are trying to make the Wii U a proper gaming console, made for adults, rather than something that you only ever want to pull out for children's birthday parties.

Things like the gamepad, and graphical capabilities that at the very least are as good as anything else on the market will mean plenty of developers will want to experiment with the console too.

Let's be honest 3rd party support will die very quickly anyway. The WiiU sales will not match the PS3 or 360 after it's initial launch period so developers won't find the investment for a conversion worthwhile. Especially when you consider PS4 and Nextbox are around the corner - It just won't be worth it.

Let's be honest none of us buying the console now care anyway, we all own PS3 and/or 360 anyway - so there's no reason we'd be buying inferior ports on the WiiU

wii u ports don't seem to be inferior though. For instance Batman looks a lot better, which and all the gameplay features the Wii u brings appear to improve the gameplay too.

If this becomes a common occurrence with new games, then I imagine the majority of people who can will be opting for the Wii u versions.

I don't know about improving gameplay - but I'd urge you to read Digital Foundry Black Ops 2 comparison and their Batman Arkham City Armoured Edition comparison and you'll quickly realise the ports are not good and whereas Batman opts to use the touch screen - it actually makes the game worse.

Granted it's early days, but coming out this late in the life cycle of the current gen wont help it's cause. Next gen is round the corner and dev's simply wont support the machine then.

Sonic is great man, and actually survived the WiiU conversion. Minus the annoying checkpoint bug! Well worth having!

I enjoyed the PS3 version but completely overlooked the World Tour mode so missed the real meat of the game lol. Should be good for playing on the Gamepad too

I got as far as I could in WT mode. Didn't do any GPS though.

I just hope theres people playing it online. Never anybody on PS3.

Ive read differing opponents of the wii u batman elsewhere. Black Ops2 does just look like a rushed port though, with frame rate issues ect.

i feel you are being overly negative. The real truth is that no one has any clue how well the machine will sell or if it will supported by devs so there's no need for pessimism really. In terms of support the original wii was a horrible console that had very few worthwhile exclusive games and poor versions of other games. But it didn't need it, it sold loads anyway. Granted it was cheaper, but then it was such a technically interior machine to other consoles that even the most casual gamer should have realised why.

But casual gamers won't realise why the WiiU costs more than a PS3 or a 360 will they?As you say, with the Wii there was a reason. This time they'll look at the price tag and expect that it now plays blu-rays and is more powerful than it's peers.

I'm more worried stuff won't arrive for launch than excited, having a Wii U, but only Nintendo Land with more in the post doesn't sound that fun really. That's assuming the Wii U gets here.

Not negative. Realistic. PS4 and Nextbox are coming pretty soon now. Nintendo have released a console that won't compete with those consoles in terms of tech and the market that bought the Wii now buy iOS devices. Nintendo are simply 3 years too late. The WiiU has potential to be an excellent 2nd console with it's 1st party range, but their offering needs to be more substantial then Skyward Sword and New Super Mario Bros.

Lol i just realised the same thing, im getting the ZombiU bundle so obviously i will have that to play but was planning on going into town on Friday to buy everything else. Did no really think i might get it on Thursday, oh well something to look forward to on Friday

Good stuff, ZombiU is the only game worth playing anyway!!
