I am a huge f zero fan i would give anything to see it back, and star fox.

i was just saying we have plenty to look foward to until the next big wave comes out, summer and beyond


Is gretting really boring hearing about people moaning about the graphics, I have no doubt that we will see some stunning looking games in the future , at least enough power there for another 5 years of gaming. Yes ps4 ADbox720 will have better graphics but i dont see a huge leap for a couple of years anyway. By which time nintendo will have lots of Big games out and a headstart with console owners, i dont see there being any problem whatsoever for nintendo.


Anyway Nintendo Direct tomorrow 5 pm, hopefully we will get some release dates for the likes of pikmin , and some 3ds news with animal crossing

I agree, let's not moan about graphics, if Sony and Microsoft said they were going to hold out for 3 years and squeeze the most out of the current gen I would be more than happy.........as long as the software is there.
That is the big concern with Nintendo these days, looking back the software on NES was great, on SNES it was perfect, on the N64 there was enough to make it a stunning console to own, and even on the Gamecube there was enough triple AAA titles to make it a must have buy.


Can't say the same about the Wii, if they had not had the stupid control system then it would have been one of the best consoles ever, but playing Zelda with that controller just made it a chore, same with so many other games.

So, for me I am just looking forward to playing Nintendo goodness with that Pro Controller, bring on a new Zelda with that and I am in there.

I don't think waiting to see how the console pans out will hurt anyone that's not sure on it. Not like ninty will go bankrupt just because a few of us decide not to adopt early.

Exactly.......at ?179.99 things do look better. That was the shrewd move by ninty, along with the new controls. But i just get the feeling nintendo are trying to have there cake and eat it right now with price, as with the 3ds initially. They dont NEED to be so greedy, as the 3ds has also proven.

I still think nintendo will cut the price 3DS style next year though, thats when i buy one. I just hope they rack up the sales in the meantime, because there seems to be no stock shortage.

I mean i do actually want the WiiU to succeed in spite of nintendo, a decent HD zelda/metroid is still my wet dream!

No disrespect here but I don't understand when people say they're waiting for a price cut. I mean it's not as if it's a ?424.99 PS3. Let's say at most they reduce it ?100 in 9 month. Is it really worth waiting that long to save yourself what works out at ?11 a month, when you can have one now and get your moneys worth out of it by owning one for longer during the consoles lifecycle?

It's like my mates at work when they ask why I have got to buy one at launch, they're all gonna wait 'til the price drops, but then they'll easily waste ?60 on booze and fags every Friday night.

I see your point but ?100 would pretty much cover the price of 3 must have games that hopefully the Wii U will actually have by this time next year so i have no problem in waiting. There's nothing to justify finding ?300+ for one right now.

I doubt I'd of picked one up were it not for the fact I got mine for ?199 - I was actually surprised Amazon honoured the pre-order.

At ?199 it is a no brainer.

I am not one to care too much about the price, I paid ?350 for a Super Famicom, ?600 for a Playstation, ?700 for an N64 etc.

But those are prices you pay because you have to have it, ie Super Mario World and F-Zero Ridge Racer, Super Mario 64 and Pliot Wings, all titles that I was happy to pay that money for even if it then sat there for a few months.

At ?350 for a Wii U there is nothing to make me really, really want it, but at ?199 I would have definitely bought it for NSMB alone, even if I did then think it was a bit dated.
