I really need a definitive answer to this, if someone can find one. I want to place an order when I get paid on Tues, but won't be doing so unless the units are literally the same as the UK ones, save perhaps for the plug/charger. I have too many UK games and eShop purchases to change now.

Ooh just 2 weeks left till new3ds is released, looking forward to getting my hands on it although another system transfer will be a chore. Decided to enhance my previous preorder with additional items seeing as screen protectors & carry cases have gone up for preorder too also ordered the wooden faceplate making the total of faceplates now at 10 lol oh & added a 32 gig micro sd card as well as i never had enough space on the one i had already.

oct-dec is certainly an expensive time with stuff been released.

Nippon Yasan have pre-orders available for all the Japanese consoles again.

?100 for the normal one, ?117 for the LL.

Not too sure about that article as it was written before they forced you to log into the e shop with your region tied NNID...

although another system transfer will be a chore.

This raises a good point for me, in standard system transfers it updates your existing SD card to work in the destination 3ds but here I take it there will be SD to micro SD card copying needed on a PC? I've done it before when I changed my SD card to a higher capacity but changing folder names etc was a bit of a faff, I wonder how Joe public will handle it.

Oh god they have Kyary pamyu pamyu doing the new 3DS advert, it's so awesome. My smile factor just shot up to a billion. LOL at Luigis death stare been in there, when Nintendo advertise they do it right when it comes to Japan.


Nintendos new faceplate website, it's fantastic you can shuffle the faceplates to see what combinations you'd like.

Looks like all the themes are listed, seems that buying a faceplate wont get you a matching theme after all as they all have prices on them. That clears up importing them anyone can buy them without worrying about digital content locking.

I've never had an issue. Fast shipping, well packed, all good. Only issue is if you want to cancel a pre-order apparently.

I ordered the white one by mistake and swapped it out for the black one...So I'll pay for the black one and the faceplates but just ignore the other one so they cancel it by default.
