As for an aeroplane, voltage etc. again fine, but it'll depend on the fitting. If you're flying with ANA then they'll probably use Japanese plugs.
Also, I wouldn't recommend USB. It would work, but given the power output of USB I suspect you'd be waiting ages for it to charge.

Also, still no Zelda: Link To The Past on the 3DS eShop. Yes, it's been released this week, on the WiiU (slow clap). I want to buy it for the machine that's just seen the sequel released.

In reality though, it's a very complicated area. True, you can still do "basic" 3D depth (some of the worse 3DS games do this) but in reality you need to consider things like where the player focuses on the action. Plus, games often use depth tricks (having "big" objects actually be closer and smaller and such) which 3D displays expose.
It's the reason why some films do it well, and some do it badly (excluding the movies that are "3D converted" as those are all bad); the director has to really understand how to use the technique in their movie and as it's relatively new, the rules haven't really been established yet.Last edited by Asura; 01-02-2014, 07:52.

SNES games obviously aren't available on the 3DS eShop and the GBA port of ALttP/4 Swords is also a no-no as NIntendo have often stated that they don't intend to port GBA games to the 3DS outside of the titles that were given to 3DS Ambassadors.

Not intending to port GBA games at one point does not rule out the intention at a future point. Actually Natsume recently made out like they're trying to get their GBA games to the 3DS.
That Zelda Four Swords was free on our eShop for a good while before so it appears to be those in the US getting it late.

I really hope Nintendo ditch that "party line" about the "ambassador" games soon and just release the things for the rest of us. It's daft that they're not selling GBA games if they have the necessary infrastructure in place anyway; it's not like we can still buy them new, and GBA is one of the worst formats for buying 2nd hand online due to all the fakes.

On the one hand I shouldn't complain, because I got Mario 3D Land "free" as part of that post-Christmas offer they did a while back (as I got the XL pretty much at launch, due to having sold my original 3DS about 2 weeks after it launched and deciding to wait for the updated hardware), but in this case, you can't even buy the title in question.Last edited by Asura; 01-02-2014, 09:10.

The GBA games on 3DS talk isn't new - this has been going on for a few years now. It just feels like Nintendo would've done it by now if they really were going to. It looks, imo, more like Nintendo will go the route of re-releasing "modern" ports of classic games in the vein of Starfox 64 3D, OoT 3D and Wind Waker HD (note how GC games haven't appeared on VC yet? There was lots of talk about that happening too).
