you get a charging dock and two sets of faceplates so its on a par with importing cost wise, also the ambassador faceplate's are never gonna be available again. playasia is ?150 with one faceplate and a plug but then you could get stung by ?40 import duty so i wouldn't say it was the cheaper option.

I'm so tempted to flip my 3ds on ebay to offset the cost of this new one, wife even said I could get one but still not sure whether to or not what's wrong with me few years i would have been straight in there.

179 for the small one is just stupid, my lovely new Blue XL was less than that on import . i suppose if you a linited one there is some value, but i just dont like the small 3ds , its to small. the XL is a perfect pocket fit still

I on the other hand fine the standard xl a little chunky to go in my pocket.

I did however find the original 3DS a bit cramped so I'm kind of thinking the n3ds might be spot on, just not too keen on the white facia though (though I love the coloured buttons), arrrgghhh !!

I Guess its down to choice, but i find my hands are to big for the small one, and from what i hear the new one isnt much bigger than the old model. but each to there own.

Back when I though the new normal one was around a halfway point between the original and the XL (yes, I had that in my head too), I was sure I would go for the smaller one. I love my XL but mostly because the build feels a million times better than my original shiny blue small one. I preferred the screen on the small one. This new one gives me the smaller screen with a better build so I'm still tempted to get a new small sized one.

I wish they had given these easy names...

I find my hands are too big for the smaller of the double shoulder buttons on the n3ds. I tried Resi Evil but had to give up.

For games that require only one shoulder button (most of them!) it's fine.

I don't even want one of the Ambassador 3DSes but I'm upset I didn't get the email given how long I've had (and how much I've registered to) my CN account maybe they do actually read the customer surveys and were fed up with my abuse about the lack of F-Zero...
