?90 retail? I can point you to a number of brand new in-stock 64GB memory cards for little over ?50 shipped. People can always not keep games on the memory card, and D/L them as needed. It's not like you're loading up C64 cassettes here after all.
    Kept you waiting, huh?

Can you keep the save files though?

Yer. They're in a separate folder.

So then why does it tell me I'll be deleting everything, including save data, when I go to delete a downloaded game?

You're doing it wrong. You need to do it from within the manager. You'll still have the icon in the menu that way.

You have to backup the save (using content manager) first and then delete the whole thing, including the saves. Unless Sony changed this recently then deleting the game will delete the save.

                How wonderfully roundabout.

Sony are trying to be like Nintendo.

Obviously there's a joke I'm missing there somewhere.

                    Still, thanks for the info.

I missed this as well. Good to know for future incase I need to delete something but keep the save.

If you have ps+ then obviously just push your save to the cloud and you're golden.

Or just tick the box on the intro/splash screen of each game so it uploads automatically.

                          Its off by default annoyingly...

I'm so disappointed at the poor reviews of borderlands2 so far.
