They're buying the apps at a tiny price. You don't expect the Crunchie bar you bought at lunch for 60p to still be usable in 5 years. You do, however, expect the the clock you bought for ?50 to still tick OK after the company that made it is bust in 10 years time.

To be honest, I don't, because in 10 years time those games are only gonna be worth 60p anyway.

I'm sorry, but you represent everything wrong with the games industry. People like you will be the death of the hobby we love. At least in the form we know it today.

I'm glad someone said it. Because otherwise I would. The attitude of originalbadboy is actually very disturbing.

"I don't give a ****, so why should anyone on this planet give a ****?"

You are the poster child for the modern generation. Everything is disposable and without value.

Really ... Because if you taken the time to get off your high horse and look at the poll on this very thread you would notice that I would be AGAINST this sort of thing going on. Everything has value ... Opinion has value, unless it conflicts with the almighty Sketcz, and then of course it doesn't.

But as stated in other threads, in the great scheme of things, these things are not the most important things in life .. Certainly not worth getting stressed about that's for sure.

But then of course I forget that my opinion doesn't count if it conflicts with yours ... Get over yourself ffs ...

Let's not let this thread descend into insults.

It is important to defend our consumer rights - we shouldn't allow these things to have an artificial expiry date - the only people that benefits are the large corporations.

Unfortunately it looks like I didn't say it...thanks to EvilBoris...another DRM apologist. Obviously these 'types' stick together. Like they have always done throughout history. It takes good men like me and you to stand up to this behaviour.

Making a stand on a forum where over 85% of voters agree with you, isnt really going to do much, i would think.....

What else are you doing to stand up to this behaviour?

I removed your personal remarks from your post, nothing less. Your point was still valid without it.

All it takes for EvilBoris to triumph is for good men to do nothing.

On an optimistic note, Hollywood routinely destroyed films after their theatrical runs for decades. Until they wised up and realized that they were actually worth preserving as historical documents. Here's hoping the same happens for games.

Personally. I think all games should be erased from history after 2 years
