I assume you are joking or are just trolling .... ??

They are not pre-rendered 3D sprites ... its full 3d models being used .. I mean really .. You need to go to specsavers...

No. The shading and lighting on those models, including the environments, are terrible. I know those are polygonal models and not pre-rendered sprites, that was bad phrasing on my part, but it looks terrible, nowhere near any recent Zelda game. In fact, also compared to the original aLttP: graphics looks "heavy" and uninspired, with none of the brightness of the original title or Wind Waker and its successors.

Can't see the issue myself .. It looks like what would expect LTTP to look like if it was modernised. Also note that the game is far from complete, and this is probably Alpha footage at best.

Bang on the money there, it looks awful truely awful in this day an age, I would never expect a sequel 20 years later to look worse than the original.

It's bad enough they made a 3D remake of Link to the Past, but a sequel now? Flogging the memory horse are we these days Nintendo?

Looking at the video Nintendo seem to have forgotten what made the original so special "original" being the key word. This just seems to be a 3D rehash with lots of content from the original game. I feel I need to knock some sense into some of you people with a shove, that said I feel I need to take a shove to Reggie face, for releasing such a poor video.

R.I.P, LTTP there will never be a Zelda console game as big as you were, ever again.

Bad graphics? People are aware of the technical specifications of the 3ds aren't they? This isn't a Vita game.

Zelda has always been at the forefront of technology with its visuals of course. The game has never had anything else to it. The ingenious dungeon design, treasures in the overworld and use of items has never meant anything. It's all about the visuals with Zelda.

It's not like we can comment on the actual quality of the game.

Certainly. I just felt S3M was discounting it far too quickly based on the less than stellar visuals. Zelda games are always good, some are better than others. All have had some pretty fantastic dungeons in them though. Sure it will be a fine game.

The main stumbling block for me with Zeldas these days is just whether the game can actually motivate me to play it. The two DS games were very accomplished, looked good and had strong dungeons. But I trudged through Phantom Hourglass and gave up on Spirit Tracks simply because, while all the pieces were there, the games never really gave me a reason to want to finish them. I felt removed from the games, not really part of them.

Whereas I played OoT on 3DS and also Link's Awakening very recently and was sucked back into both and hooked - I had to keep playing.

So for me, the challenge here won't be about the graphics. It won't even be about the game mechanics. It will simply be one of motivation and immersion.

The video looks bland and uninteresting and Nintendo should work on a true Zelda sequel, LTTP did get one it was called Link's Awakening but that was a long time ago now. Storywise it was also set before the first NES Zelda and that is it's story sequel.

True a very long time ago then along came the CD-i and the last two Zelda games Spirits Tracks and Skyward were both pretty poor, neither were very good. Granted they had the standard Nintendo polish, but that didn't make them fun. Nintendo hit a stumpling box years ago Link's Awakening was a great piece of design with so many levels of detail that Nintendo haven't better.

The first four Zelda games are still miles better than the rest that followed and until Nintendo do something truely original with the series it will just continue to fail to reach its former glory.

I found Skyward Sword to be absolutely epic, the controls just took the immersion to a new level. If you don't like it fair enough though.
