I imagine it's been in development for some time now. I remember reading rumours a while back of Link as a cowboy, or something? It'll be interesting to see what they do. I'm sure it'll be a great game but I'm not expecting to see it till 2015 really.

Probably where all their resources are going. I read a rumour that it's got 400+ staff working on it.

Wouldn't surprise me at all. Nintendo said they've had to significantly scale up their development teams to accommodate for HD. Zelda will be a major one in that regard as its graphical style is much more detailed than something like Mario.

I picked up Wind Waker HD and was wondering if Nintendo ever confirmed what was going on with GBA/GC on Virtual Console? I suspect it's been canned but Toon Link on my Wii U is making my subconscious scream "You've still never played Minish Cap, you amateur" and even I'm not optimistic enough to hope they'll HD remake that (they bloody well should!).

In other big news I bought The Wonderful 101 and have now been sold on Platinum Games ability to make a good game! It really makes me wish Nintendo had an achievements system though, for me personally that would add so much more replayability to this game.

Shouldn't playing good games in the first place be its own reward?

I've got Minish Cap on 3DS.
                Kept you waiting, huh?

I think that's just a different gamer mentality, personally I most enjoy games like Banjo Kazooie where there's lots of collectables and exploration and for me achievements put that into games that don't necessarily offer that element. It's not that I don't enjoy The Wonderful 101, it's just I don't find high scores or time trialing to be "fun" so once I see the end I'm probably not going to come back to it any time soon when I could be playing Pikmin DLC or getting 1000GS in Rayman Legends (which I probably did buy on Xbox 360 over Wii U for the achievements if I'm honest).

Isn't it an ambassador program exclusive though? It was when I had a 3DS (which I never used after completing Phantom Hourglass and gave to a child). If it's not on Wii U I'll probably just get around to playing it on GBA anyway, they're cheap enough.

Been playing Zelda all day, what a gem of a game, and so nice to be playing a top Nintendo title with a proper controller again.

Those stupid Wiimotes nearly killed of Nintendo for me.
Galaxy was ruined, turned what should have been a 10/10 game into an 8/10 game, Twilight Princess I got 3 hours into and then bought on the GC, and so it was so nice to sit down today and play properly.

Put it on at 10am and played till 2pm and then again from 3.30 till 6pm, couldn't do that with a Wiimote.

Great looking game, was a little concerned with the blooming on contrast at first, but not seen much of it since.

                      No. Just no.

Galaxy and Galaxy 2 are sublime in every aspect, controls included. They stand up alongside the best of anything on 360 and PS3.

Actually, to be fair too the Wiimote.

I have changed the layout of my TV room recently, and I am finding the Wii Games are now much easier to control than before, I can now slump on the sofa and play, where as before I had to sit up and sort of lean forward to get the controls feeling any where near responsive.

                          .
In fact THEY did kill off Nintendo for me. Wiimote with FORCED shaking that could have been done with a button press most of the time, totally killed it for me.

Gaming is all about slouching to me, get home, slouch on the sofa and game.

If I wanted some exercise I would go and do some exercise.

I think Galaxy would have been the same either way, the controls didn't get in my way but they did not improve the experience either.

The only Wii game that I felt improved the controls was Skyward sword and this is solely down to the using the sword and having your movements replicated. However I feel this should always have a fallback to a normal control such as a right analog stick.

Both games fully justified using the Wii mote in some great ways through, and fairly often. Some levels can only be completed using the specific things a Wii mote does, I for one wouldn't of wanted a single one of them cut.

In fact there's not a single bad thing to be said about either of them, both staggeringly brilliant games that we were lucky to get on the same machine.
