Too big for me to bother with - how does it look?

Looks like titanfall at a higher resolution?

well, from my memory, back at gamescom 2013 it looked better... textures and particle FX seem to be scaled back here otherwise it's still awesome to look at.

Probably your memory, Don't see why they would scale back the PC version.

The video quality is very low there and there appears to be next to no anti aliasing. I'd even say there was some kind of sharpening happening. Maybe it's actually the Xbox One version

Turns out my eyes didn't deceive me, those videos are from the Digital Foundary and are of the Xbox One Preview.

it's running at 1408x792 at the moment and Respawn have confirmed that number will increase for the retail release.
Sharpening filter ahoy in that video too according to DF.

Throughout the development of Titanfall, Respawn has continually talked about the importance of 60 frames per second ga…

Respawn are working with Microsoft to fix the upscaler.

Most strangely they are working with Microsoft to send out a software update for the pad.

There are already games that have bypassed the Sharpening filter , Killer Instinct disabled it a while back.
                I wonder what they mean?

They need to sort it out though, it's pretty rank on the games that are using it. Dead Rising 3 looks really different when you disable it.

Yeah I agree, it makes everything look absolutely horrible. I have no idea what MS were thinking to be honest (probably "get the fking console out the door now!").

                  Anyway, signed up for beta.

Still think its just COD with mechs ... Its all pretty meh tbh ... Saying that I will still get it just to stop me playing BF

Seen a couple of vids and it's mostly the positive previews holding me at the mo'. The vids tbh don't give me any sense that this is going to be an amazing game, it's definitely going to fall squarely on map design. Hopefully they're memorable and distinct as the vids make it look like a free for all jumble. As said though, the previews don't seem to lean that way so interested to try it myself. Hopefully will get lucky on the beta.

Not my cuppa, but resolution here can't be a bid deal, it's very COD and in your face, so 60fps is surely more important. I'm sure they will fix the sharpening filter too, which might benefit many other games in the process.

I can imagine twitch shooter fans will love the game, it seems well designed and looks great.

hopefully they will also be able to put some better textures into place, otherwise a further resolution improvement wont change much.

I think the textures actually look very clear, but the sharpening filter is giving them a weird look.

Never mind the graphics, the real test is the NET CODE! All these early plays are in controlled environments with LAN play, I still wonder how it play out in the wild. The Beta might give us a clue, but it still remains my main worry. We have seen too many controlled demos from the big boys, so how will a new start handle it?

Other than it looks great and my type of game.
