    PlayStation for me, definitely.
Have done all my pre-orders already and 17 games on PS4 pre-ordered so far, and 4 on XBONE.

XBONE does have a few decent looking exclusives, but I'm going Playstation for multiplatform.

FSW - All points raised are right and valid but I do wonder if Microsoft will stick to their current plan. They are one of the largest IT companies in the world and I can only imagine that these recent radical plans have been implemented by execs with $$ signs in their eyes.

What I don't understand is how supposedly experienced business executives can think this is a good long-term plan? The market is already going psycho due to these choices. What happens when the machine is released with all these measures intact?

Anyway, let's see how long it takes some of the publishers to backpeddle on their friendships with Microsoft.

          LOL!

PS4 will be my next gen console of choice to supplement the Wii U that I already have. Not sure if I will pre-order/ pick one up at launch yet though - no games really stood out as 'must have' so will likely wait a while until a sizable library of quality games is available.

I've already pre-ordered a PS4 after the February announcement. Never in any doubt where my allegiance lies.

Ordered a PS4 back in February simply because at the reveal Sony seemed very comfortable in what they were selling, they seemed to know what they were doing and seemed to understand what it was I was wanting from my next console. What they said just seemed to make perfect sense to me.

I was fully prepared for them to completely mess it up and which would make me get an Xbox instead. Even though they didn't show that many games at their E3 show, everything apart from the last 15 minutes was fine but not really needed.

I'm loving all the indie support, that's a big thing for me.

As much as Sony has done everything needed to sell me the PS4 by the same measure Microsoft seem to have managed get everything wrong to sell me their console.

They're clearly selling a console that's designed for Americans and I just can't understand why Microsoft is wanting me to pay 33% more cash when their hardware is, at least on paper, 33% less powerful than the PS4.

Microsoft showed some decent games and although they say they've spent millions setting up new studios will they still be spending that sort of money 5 years from now.

Sony on the other hand have a hell of a collection of first party studios and that's without counting all the third party studios that already work with Sony. Then there's the new ones that you would expect to want to partner Sony due to the almost unanimously positive feedback that's coming from developers of all shapes and sizes who seem to believe in what Sony are doing at the moment.

It's still not 100% but I just can't see what Microsoft can do now to change my mind. If they announce a price drop and that they're changing the things that everybody seems to be unhappy about then although thats positive in some ways it's also a sure sign that they're more than a little lost at the moment.

I really hope that Microsoft do sort things out though because I think Nintendo are in some ways running out of space at the moment and it's far better for me as a customer if there is strong competition when it comes to the console manufacturers.

It wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if Dead Rising 3 and MGS5 came to the PS4 further down the line.

Metal Gear Solid isn't exclusive to One. Thank the lord. It would be mad for Konami to release it exclusively to a system that will sell maybe 800 units in Japan.

Am looking forward to getting a ps4 on release, hoping my pre order from amazon comes though. But for me to consider buying an XboxOne MS would need to remove the requirement for Kinect, launch a basic model @ ?100 cheaper without Kinect...so under ?330, also change their stance re used games, and the need to check in each day via the internet. Not too much to ask really. Still doubt I would go MS at launch, as looking forward to hooking up my vita to the PS4

Just go Digital only, **** used games and you won't require 24 hour check in. Simple.

I think that is what MS, Sony and the majority of publishers are counting on. It's already happening with music and books. People lap up convenience in all its forms.
The younger lads at work look at me like I'm mental when I say I have a CD player and discs. They're all like why don't you just download it?

Do they mean "Why don't you just steal it", though?

Well yes. But everything on the Internet is free. No one should be paid for their work after all.

Sony for me. I live in the wilds of Scotland and have patchy internet, I also buy a lot of used games, so xbone loses out straight away. Add in the fact that I have zero interest in Kinect and let my gold subscription lapse (due to crappy internet) almost all of xbones 'features' are alienating me.

Total turnaround though, I never bought a ps3 this gen, but bought two 360s.
