I've cleared the first two areas with all the collectibles, it's as predicted so far although I will say that the ghost data time trialing feature is insanely addictive and I've only been playing against slacker ghosts so far.

Also, it feels weird playing a game with no MiiVerse there for the moment. Kind of take it for granted now.

I'm up to World 4 now and the game handles perfectly, clearly evident when you're trying to skim milliseconds off of your ghost data (a massively addictive facet of the game). It's amazing how you can guide your character around some of the trickier looking platforms with total ease. It actually feels like some auto-aim type trickery is in action. Pair this with motion that NEVER skips any frames or tears, at a rock-solid 60FPS and you'll soon realise why I've been banging the '60FPS/control fluidity' drum recently.

In terms of difficulty it's slowly getting trickier. The stars and stamps have been pretty easy to find so far, although I am finding that I'm having to replay certain levels a few times to grab them all. I think I'm going to purposely plod on regardless in an attempt to boost replayability when I have to come back to clear up.

I was afraid that after clearing a stage with all the stars and stamp that I'd never return again, that's not the case at all thanks to the ghost data side of things. I feel the need to go back and speed-run on this more than ever.

As for the data itself it will automatically match you with three other random Miis whenever you go back to replay a stage. I noticed that I'm up against my own ghost on most courses, and even though I've caned it it doesn't seem to update with my new one. I'll try again in the morning and see if it's updated.

Also, the cherry power up where you can control multiples of your character... It looks confusing to watch however it doesn't matter which one you're looking at, they all control the same whilst feeling completely natural.

It's really weird - your brain kind of singles out the one in the most danger, or the one that's required to hop onto a platform whilst another one bumps him from below.

What's the MP like on Wii U version?

It's quite nice. It's best played competitively with three other equally skilled players but I was playing cooperatively with my wife (who is terrible) the other night. It requires fast communication and fiendish coordination to get through some of the trickier levels.

Shopto charged my card at 10.30pm tuesday night for this. Wonder if I get it a day early? Would be nice as it would ease the pain of waiting for PS4.
