hey teddymeow and hoolak, im lucky enough not to work fridays ever, so i will be sat it waiting next friday. must say im looking forward to it now.

My plan is to get up at around 8am, just as the missus goes to work, cup of tea & bacon sarnie then wait for DPD.

I like the way DPD give you that hour window so I can sort other stuff out before it arrives.

Might make it a pajama day too if the weather is bad.

I have next friday off too...more to avoid courier trouble rather than hype though (which is quite sad really).
I would have finished work at 1pm and 99% of my amazon deliveries arrive around 3pm.
No doubt next weeks drop would have been earlier if I'd worked...now I will be at home it will probably arrive at 6pm instead

The first thing the PS4 asked me to do was to connect the DS4 to the PS4 via usb, so I actually never got to check.

My finances dictate that I wait to buy my PS4 until the end of March 2014 (bonus time ) So hopefully all these blue light flashy issues will be out of the way by then!

Just phoned ShopTo as my bank informed me someone tried to take money from my account. It wasn't them but I got them to process my order to make sure it would go through

No worries.

The new DualShock 4 (one supplied in the box) initially requires charging, connecting via USB just like its predecessor, the difference being that Sony has opted for a smartphone-style micro-USB connection this time around...

I think I really wanted to know if I could play with my PS4 as soon as I got it all set up and ready to go.

I wonder, does the controller need to be plugged into the PS4 itself to charge up? Or can you charge it with any micro-USB charger cable?! The plot thickens....

No battery has zero charge out of the box. It's technically impossible, unless the DS4's were sitting in storage for 18 months.
