Anyone preordered with Amazon? Do you know when they start charging your card?

I'm a bit concerned, I've got it set up to pay by my Credit card, but quite concerned the bank will stop the payment as its so large because they think its fraud. I've rung them to tell them not to stop the payment but they won't do anything at all except put notes on the account, but it's an automated process so that isn't going to help!

They did day they cancelled orders for XBone last week because of it and that their "strategy department" is aware of the PS4 launch now- but can't guarantee the payment won't be stopped...useless.

But yeah, I have the cash so wanted to change payment method, but Amazon say changing payment method now could cause delays.
I just want my console on release day, but want to know of ill have enough time to ring the bank if it fails,and get amazon to charge payment again- but still have time to send it out in time for release day delivery...

I'm never ordering online for launch again, what a potch!

I've just spoken to amazon as well, on their online chat. I asked the same thing and they kept dodging the question, plus my bank won't lift any security measures.

To start DO NOT MAKE ANY CHANGES TO YOUR ORDER. Don't cancel any games if they're part of the same order, don't change bank details or delivery address. Any slight change will push you to the back of the queue.

I asked if they could let me know in advance about any blockage of payments made by my bank and if he could let me know ASAP and not knock me down the queue, but he just kept saying you will get your console on release day and that my bank has never blocked a payment before - That's because I never usually spend ?469.99 on amazon.

With their poor customer service and watching BBC Panorama (about working at amazon) I look at the company in a totally different way now.

Edit: If you have games pre-ordered separately on amazon it might be worth paying with a different card so there's not too much going off on the same card. Just don't touch your console/bundle pre-order.

If you are lucky and need one you can still get one here, no preorder though it opens at 00.00 on Friday online

My bank sent me a letter because of "suspicious" activity on my Debit card. They thought the ?500 transaction to Shopto was a hack job. All sorted now, just had to give them a ring. Mind you, it was one of those automated phone lines which i hate big time.

I'm starting to think that it made sense that shopto have been charging cards early.

Just spoken to amazon myself. They said they'd contact me on Thursday by email to inform me of any problems, and then I ring them back and it can still be sent on release apparently. They said not to make any changes to your orders.

I've got BF4 preordered with them too on the same card, but don't want to fanny with that incase it has some kind of impact.

Amazon told me tht they preauthorise the payment card when he preorder is made so the banks should be aware and shouldn't flag it as fraud- as it's stored card details and been preauthorised when the order was made it shouldn't get flagged as suspicious activity. Te guy was reassuring, I just hope he's right!

I didn't have an Xbox One, but the bank was telling me some of them were flagged up as suspicious due to the value.

Thanks dude seems they have shut down web-chat altogether today as for the above number I got put on hold for 20minutes when it finally connected i was told off as the above number gets you through to game head office reception (i might just keep ringin it to troll her lol)

she didn't connect you to the right place? I use that number and they do get annoyed but they connect me through and really what choice do they leave us? Besides dodgy CEX I don't know any other company that hides their numbers...

Nothing worse than spending months saving to actually have the money, then have **** circumstances stop you from getting it!
