That would make little difference. You could take a DS4 either 18 months back or forward in time, but it'd need to be 18 months in real time before there was no charge. You could wait 18 months then come back to now with a dead one I suppose. That's the only way it'd work.

> Buy a DS4
> Go back in time machine to 18 months earlier
> Put the DS4 in a safety deposit box
> Come back to today
> wait until 29th November
> check to see if DS4 has a full charge
> I bet it does

And if you save pence on that and every other little thing you can save pence on then you save pounds and hit your target price point. Original PS3 had 4 USB ports. That was reduced to 2 on later revisions, not to piss people off but because it saved pence.

They shouldn't have included sealed in batteries...that would have saved them some money, and made me happy since 6-8 hours sounds terrible. Would have meant I could just switch my AA rechargeables in :/

Not got time to read the last lot of posts about controller battery but skimming through it seems that the controller only needs to be charged every year and a half. Well done Sony.
