A thorough review of Remote Play on Engadget:

Every day, a new phone. A new tablet. A new laptop that doubles as a blender -- and it has Android! Video game consoles, thankfully, aren't quite so prolific. In 18 years of PlayStation's existence, we're only just this week reaching number four -- a massive difference from the likes of Apple's iPhone or Nokia's (ridiculously populous) Lumia line. This Friday, the PlayStation brand enters the "next generation" once more with the PlayStation 4, and the world is significantly different than the last time around: HD is now standard, online multiplayer an expectation and multitasking a given. Beyond interesting, great-looking game experiences, gamers in 2013 expect a multitalented, speedy game console that's as fast and powerful as the ever-surging wave of bleeding edge electronics that are standard in modern life. Let's find out if the PlayStation 4 lives up to our lofty expectations.

I didn't think I'd care that much about remote play etc so I ordered it on XBO to get it early, but seeing them play stuff like AC4 it looks really good and obviously already having a Vita removes that barrier for entry. I ordered it on XBO to get it early because I really want to play it. Depending on how that goes RE visuals/ performance when it gets reviewed on Xbox One, I might send it back and get the PS4 version (already been charged for it off shopto).

Has anyone seen a video of someone downloading a game? Still wondering if you have to install at the end of it. I'm inclined to believe it's gone since you can play games while they're downloading after they've reached a certain point, but it'd be nice to get a confirmation.

Apparently Sony are going to announce the return of a classic game series set in space, wonder what this will be? The one i have everything crossed for is Colony Wars. Im so tempted to get up and 4am to watch but just wonder if it will be worth while?

Well, recent Sony adverts/virals/promos have featured, Crash, Parappa, and Ryu.

But with Kojima and space... = ZONE OF THE ENDERS 3!!!

It most probably won't be worth it but I've decided to go in to work an hour or so later now, so the plan is to get 3 and a half hours sleep either side of it.

That's understandable for a system patch though, 360 does the same thing but doesn't for games.

I've just asked a guy livestreaming Knack and he says you still have to manually install them. Oh well.

Ah well. Hopefully it's a quicker process than on PS3. I hope the secondary processor that deals with background DL will be used to help speed up the process.

Demon Souls 2 would be a nice surprise. Could explain while the director of the first game is not involved with Dark Souls 2.

It all seems a bit contradictory with playing as you download though surely? Maybe that guy got it wrong. I hope so! It doesn't look like you're locked into screens while it's installing anymore though, I'm sure I saw on one stream some guy was installing games and moving around the XMB-R (The R is for replacement )
