BF4 just told me my save is corrupt

That seems to be an issue, it happened on the Giant Bomb Livestream. Not necessarily indicative of a PS4 problem though, could just be an issue on Dice's part.

I've deleted the install data and will reinstall it when I get up. At least all my progress is saved on Battlelog so I haven't lost anything.

I don't know if you saw the message I left, but when I was watching your stream it had no audio. Was that a setting somewhere you had to check? Other streams seemed to all have audio is all.

Contemplating cancelling my preorder of the PS4 for launch day and going with the Amazon gamer pack which they say is guaranteed before Christmas. I can wait a few weeks to get a free camera/controller/game.

I literally can't think of anything worse, getting all hyped for a console only to have it break. Happened with my 360 after about a month, just as I put DOA4 in. Gutting

I think a lot of Xbox fans are giving the Ps4 low scores. I expect the same thing next week, with PS fans giving the Xbox a low score.

If you look, the majority of the reviews are amazon verified purchases. So not really. Obviously there'll be some.

The Playstation community will have their revenge, 40 fold.

The overall rating is better than it was yesterday, between PSN going down and the Broken machines, there were lots of angry people, positive reviews are obviously starting to be left now.

Yeah. I really like the look of the PS4. It looks like a great system. Especially with all of the additional things like downloading updates in the background/ installing, or even installing a game when you play. I love those features. Wish we'd got ours yesterday .

Does the Xbox have the background downloads thing for updates/ installing in the background too? I would imagine so but it'd be nice to have confirmation that both are doing it.

I have no doubt if amazon uk have lots of broken systems too I'll be lucky enough to have one in a fortnight the joys of early adoption eh

Background downloads and updates are in, that was confirmed back in May.


Just a note for people when they do pick up their PS4's, the machine doesn't queue downloads, so if you started the download of 4 large games at the same time, it will download them all simultaneously and Sony have forgotten to put a pause button in the UI.
So you may only want to do one until that is finished.
