Pre ordered on shopto when they went live.
Tempted to just grab a console, 1 year PS+ and not buy any games, we will see where that takes me over the course of the year.
May have to pick up a vita for full experience.
There's always a lil time for games, personally just need to manage that time better from the perspective of buying games I really want to play and simply playing them.
Easier said than done.

Gaiki powered PS backwards compatibility will hit PS4 early next year in the US. An EU release isn't currently lined up due to the regions broadband bottle necks.

And to think, some people genuinely thought there wouldn't be another gen of hardware.

Looks like my ps3 will be sat under my tv for a little bit longer then,

couldent they just bring it to certain providers? virgin media users or bt infinity? I have a 120meg service I'm sure my cable can Handle it. would also be a reason for bt/virgin to offer upgrades from the crap 5 to ten meg that's the norm with most providers.

This is good for XBO also, GAME will give ?40 trade value on BF4, Ghosts and FIFA14 if you trade the current gen version in for next gen. Not too bad.

Worth adding, you can't trade the WiiU or PC versions in on the offer though.

Not too bad. I think total shell out will be ?60. ?50 for each copy of the same game minus the ?40 trade in for the upgrade.

Sony said to be working on an Oculus Rift style headset for PS4 which will be unveiled next year. I still reckon this push for VR is set for the same fate previous attempts have been.

Wipe-clean holodeck or nothing. Because that would have to be 99.8% sex-sims to be viable.

I would consider a VR headset for PS4 but it would have to be sub-$300.

?500? Sony might sell their more experimental products like the TMZs for a grand or so, but the games industry is a far too competitive and price conscious place for that.

There wouldn't be any point selling a ?500 peripheral. No one would buy it and so no one would develop for it. The Kinect was a big success at ?120, but there still wasn't much software for it.

Sony can't even be bothered to properly support 3D for those with the TV's anymore, this will end up like Move and be mostly ignored after a quick Xmas hype cash grab.

3D in the home is dead anyway, no one is bothering to support it aside from BD 3D releases. Its juddering, nausea inducing effect in many games certainly didn't help.

I gather you have totally forgotten about the 24" 3D "TV" they brought out for use with PS3, which didn't even have a TV Tuner or an included remote, but had an RRP of ?450?

Didn't you also own that VR headset they released for the PS2 that was only compatible with a couple of flight sims or something?
