It's a Sharp 37XD1..ish from 2007, not sure I can upgrade the firmware.

The has been no problem with the image and sound, and with the times my PS4 has shut down (during download/install games and formatting) I don't think it's TV-related, but I could be wrong of course. It just seems strange to me if that is the case.

Edit: Yes, the TV has worked (and still does) with X360, PS3, Wii, WiiU etc.

I have a Mac, so when I use "disk utility" to format the sticks the only FAT-option I have is "FAT". However, when I right-click, show information on the sticks, it says FAT32. Right now, I'm thinking it might be something so stupid as I have to rename the sticks themselves to "USB" and retry tonight. I don't know.

Sorry, I meant exFat. I found my ps3 wouldn't read the USB hard drive I formatted as fat on my Mac. Another idea would be to not format the USB stick to its full size and instead partition it so the fat32 one is the smallest you can make it to fit the update on(e.g. 1gb).

Also, it might be worth trying the sticks on your PS3 which should narrow things down. It should at least show up in the list on PS3, then you can press triangle and choose 'view all' to see the files on it

Yes, I have used one of the USB-sticks on my PS3 before, to watch movies, using triangle > show all.

But I'll try exFat and also format on a Windows-PC later tonight.

I'm still waiting too, no idea how they are doing the order as there are people who ordered in November who have had the processing emails over on GAF

I phoned them up and they confirmed all pre-orders were for launch day. Raised a ticket with them too.

My PS4 Killzone pack is processing at shopto, and i only preordered about 10 days ago...i did prepay for it though.

I imagine loads of old preorders have been cancelled for various reasons though.
