We had a wood-effect Technics TV(I think it was, anyway) where the remote had two sets of buttons - the main set on the face and another reduced set on the bottom edge) and there was a little slot for it in the TV. Insert the remote and it sits flush with the surface and the bottom buttons act as the TV's built-in ones - channel up/down, volume up/down, power on/off.
At the time I thought it was really cool but now I realise it was pretty silly. If the remote broke or the batteries ran out there was no way to operate the TV. This happened on a few occasions.
My cousins had the cabled remote for their VCR. Same problem as you, CMcK

Need help fellas.
I reckon Money will burn a hole in my pocket today and end up landing on a 3DS. I don't know whether to get the cheaper 2ds (lack of 3d doesn't bother me) or the xl (I do like the big screen).
Want to get MH and Pokemon too, but if I go xl, I don't think I could buy two games.... First world problems here.

2DS has no CPP support, so no MH. Unless you don't mind a virtual second control, which sucks hard IMO.
I'd get an XL with X or Y for now. Even if you got MH, you likely couldn't buy the CPP to go with it anyway. Plus playing those two games at the same time is plain dumb.Kept you waiting, huh?
