Edge Readers' 20 best games of the last 20 years

So, as a part of Edge magazine's 20-year anniversary, they're compiling a list of readers' TOP 20 best games of the last 20 years. Anyone can send their list of 10 best games and then the list is presumably made from the games that receive most votes.

The rules:

1. Please send a list of only ten games.

2. This is not about creating a list of the 20 best games to play today; it is about the best 20 games from Edge’s history. Nostalgia is, therefore, allowed. When deciding which games to vote for, you should consider them in the context of their era, keeping in mind the technology and other games that existed alongside them.

3. Only games released since August 19, 1993 (regardless of region) are eligible.

This thread certainly became popular. Sent my list to Edge, although changed the order a bit.

So, which game is going to win? I'd wager it's either Mario 64 or Ocarina of Time. Or maybe it's League of Legends, who knows. I'm guessing games that will make it to TOP 20:

-Ocarina
-Half-Life
-Counter Strike
-World of Warcraft
-GoldenEye 007
-GTA III or GTA: Vice City
-Metal Gear Solid

But realistically, it will have recent games that people remember.

I don't think it will, not for the most part anyway. People remember the games they played in their youth better than anything, which is also why most of the games on my list are from the 90's. Recent games cannot compare to the nostalgia and wonder of those old classics. I think Edge readers are also probably mostly 25+ years old so that's going to mean the list will most likely include older titles.

Oh, and Resident Evil 4 will make it to TOP 20.
