Edge Readers' 20 best games of the last 20 years

Got a mate that I am going to trade my spare chipped PS1 for his Wii and a copy of Metroid Prime Trilogy. Quids in huh?

Totally gonna play No More Heroes (&2) and Sin and Punishment 2 first though.

Loved Prime but never got around to 2.

I have the trilogy and overall it's wonderful. Up with The Orange Box as the best value retail release of all time.

Although to be honest I didn't give it a lot of thought and could anticipate swapping a large number of those for something else on another day!

Never got round to playing Echoes. I might have to give it a whirl on Trilogy.

At the time it was a superb game, but overshadowed in every way by prime.

It sometimes felt a slog for me, where i was 100% sucked into prime from start to finish.

I have no idea how far I made it through echoes but it felt like I was just trudging along, but prime was awesome. Maybe it was the new shiny. I have 3 on the shelf for the Wii - need to play.

The problem with Echoes wasn't that it wasn't excellent, it was that they game was so dour, by design that is. I have played 10 hours and I have honestly never felt so depressed playing a game. The sense of isolation is so absolute, I felt like I had to surround myself with people after a session. If this appeals, it's then magnificent.

Particularly in the beginning where if you step slightly outside the path you get zapped.
